And getting ready for the laughs and comments :)

Just bought my first bike, a tiny 125 to run around the city and commute to work.

yes, it's Chinese.

Hopefully in a year or so it will look more like this:

Wow. It would be like alchemy, turning a Chinese scoot into a Honda.

But really, prepare to learn how to fix it. Or throw it in a skip and actually start with a Honda and learn to maintain it instead.

Don't leave it outside in the weather as it will deteriorate alarmingly fast.
You could buy a bike flag and fix it on the back so you don't get run down in traffic.:eek5:

They make a Grom or something, may be a good upgrade..

Hehe, I was expecting things like that and fair enough really.

If I could afford a real Honda in decent nick and actually be able to find one I would have of course, but alas, hard to find and not that much money in my pocket.
And yeah, fully road legal and lams approved. I'm pretty stoked actually.
I rode a real Honda Dax for years in Belgium so it has some sentimental value for me as well.
I'll keep you posted on future 'mods'. Or when it brakes down :)

@Mo NZ what do you mean by 'They make a grom'?

Honda Grom.

Gingos you have to be fast around here. ( reply to what's a Grom)

Seriously. That's a very low profile bike.
I would consider a flag - no wind up at all, they might just not see ya and dive into the gap in the traffic.
Moron's try that when I am on my Wing from time to time, go figure that??? F.F.Sake

Ha,.. I might give it a go if I see it's too dangerous. Maybe I'll be more noticeable because people will be looking and thinking "what the f*ck is that guy doing?"

Honda Grom.

Cool! I love how Honda have listed it in the "Powersports (http://powersports.honda.com/2014/grom.aspx)" section of their website :niceone:

Congratulations, welcome to the riding fraternity.

Don't dis the bike, it will teach you lots, and hopefully at speeds you can walk away from;)

Yes. 125 Grom with lots of charisma. Looks like a winner for Mother Honda there.

Re your current ride, well you do have to start with what you can afford $$$.
I agree lots of skill's will be learnt, doesn't matter what bike it is.
Get a decent helmet, jacket, boots and gloves.
Ride the hell out of it and enjoy.

I'll bet you can't.

Actually, I saw a bike do a poo once.

I like those little motors, seem to be some of the better put together Chinese offerings. You can get a fuck load of "hot" parts for em too, flowed heads, flatslides, big bore kits, cams etc etc.
Enjoy it mate.
