I added this post to an existing thread elsewhere, but then thought a lot of riders in this section use Gopro cameras, so may get a better response here.

I've decided to upgrade the old Motorola. The new LG has a 4.1 android platform so I'm thinking of downloading the Gopro app to act as a remote for the camera.

Has anyone bothered to use this app? Have you had any major problems getting the Gopro app to work?

I use it and it world's well. Image on your phone isa little delayed. It's great for ajusting your Gopros settings

Initial connection was a little tricky, I changed some settings like the Wifi password, but they didn't take, used the original settings and it was Ok.

Haven't used it a lot, but it's worked every time, also handy for checking what it sees and making minor adjustments.

Just dawned on me, I should've checked whether the Gopro remote works with the white model.

Certainly beats the Sony offering on the size front now.

new advertisement video for it -- everyone is so worried about how they look on the camera / is the camera at the right angle, guess they get paid for the footage?

Yep that new small size is going to get it mounted in some cool places.

As for remote app control I've used Camranger and Triggertrap with my DSLR gear, very handy at times, as someone says you cant always access screen/controls when camera mounted somewhere good so very useful for that.
