Yeah will do ;)

Just browsing through it there's a few funny statements :pinch:

2nd sentence of Mike's foreword he says:

"I've seen a lot of riders badly mangled. I've seen a few killed. By comparison, I've got away with a few bumps - for 20 years"

and then on the next page after a paragraph on if you get hit or hit anything you're going to get hurt the next two questions are

"You still want a bike?" and "Want to lengthen the odds on staying in one piece?"

Inspiring stuff

I had (still have) a copy of Mike Hailwood's "The Art of Motorcycle Racing" in which he blithely states "you don't know where the limit is until you fall off it."

Thanks Mike. (Oh and I did eventually find it too...)

Shit I remember reading that when I was 15 years old - the only real comment I can recall now (almost 35 years later) is something along the lines of treat all car drivers as if they don't see you. Would love to see the PDF

Is that a "Special one". I don't remember seeing the signature in the one I read. Was a long time ago though I guess.

Got plenty of options....some of the mags are getting turfed and some being kept, just flicking through them as I go. Have found some interesting things so far though.

There was a version with a red cover.
I'd forgotten all about it and found stashed in amongst a pile of 1979/80 Two Wheels mags

Trying to figure out the bike he's on. Is it a GS450? (Wouldn't be 400 or 425 cause of the cast wheels).

Yeh but you have to admit, no other race rider has 'retired' from riding in races for 10 yrs, then come back to win the most prestigious race in the world.
Hell look at Schaumaker, after only a few years he couldnt make the grade again.

Some older Ex-Pat Brits may remember these. I'm not sure just which model Yamaha Dave Taylor is riding in the third photo.
