What did the kids do?...6yr old & 9yr old FFS :weep:
...thoughts go out to the family & community who will be absolutely devastated.
The neighbour even tried to wrestle the gun off him to save the kids...nothing greater than risking your life to try & save another...especialy when its for innocent children, bloody brave move that.
...So very sad

Holy shit! That is just unreal to read. Thoughts go out to the mother and family trying to cope with all this.

Yup... People get screwed up in the head and horror shock the partner finally decides to get the heck outa dodge... Then Mr 'Not Quite Right in the Head' goes all grudge nasty and big trouble come...
I've worked with a few over the years who could have quite easily gone and done this as they had stopped seeing the wood for the trees several tomato seasons back when it came to family seperations... Funny thing is, every work break it would be non stop verbal diaorrea about what the bitch of an ex was up to and yet the whole time they were together you never heard a peep about the family..
I've always said that if people invested the same emotional input / energy into the relationship as they do into the seperation there would be a LOT less seperations...
Either way this is one sad story and frankly just bloody awful... Poor bloody kids and I hope the lady involved can eventually find some peace but man oh man is she in for some hard days in the next few weeks... I wish her all the love I have...

youre assuming it was him and not his crackhead bitch ex.
But of course, it depends on the marks on his thumbs and how many cops inadvertantly plant evidence...
(fuken sad eitherway like)

Same side of the port. Don't know about the water but the climate must be fuck depressing in winter and as Aussie has stolen all the heat this summer maybe it is just getting too much for some. Add in the Uni being on hols there are no students to pick fights with or blame shit on.

Joe Karam will be saddling up his white charger and riding down to assess the situation any moment!
Once again Judges Lawyers and social services can take pride in completely fucking up and causing the deaths of those two kids! R.I.P. kids!

Hmm - not so sure John... Protection orders are often taken out vidictively and are generally abused by all and sundry... In this case it was fatal but its hard to see how you can tell who is going to go postal and who isnt... There is a group of blokes that just seem to utterly melt down when the relationship ends... Usually with terrible results emotionally, financially and in this case fatally...
Good on the neighbour - bloody gutsy effort, especially now more of the story is coming out...
Shit that is one funeral thats going to be bloody tough to attend.... Poor kids....

the problem with legislation... Is that it only restricts the law abiding.
Me? I ignore the hell out of it.
Infact i might smoke drugs and use some illegal firearms right now.

To point a firearm at two children and pull the trigger, I cant see how it could be done, I tried to shoot a dog ( with Parvo ) once, he looked at me, he knew what I was going to do. I walked away with tears running down my face while a friend did what had to be done.
That was just a dog, but a child looking at you? I almost wish the bastard had lived,

Not really John.
One man alone bears the total blame for this tragedy - Edward Livingstone.
Livingstone loaded and fired a shotgun into his 6yr old daughter and his 9yr old son. Nobody else.

Yeah no shit. It is the same here. No matter what the law says Sandy Nook, Columbine and many other shootings would have happened anyway.

Yes more good examples of people who manage to get their hands on guns no matter what rules are in force.

Who? The ATF? Couldn't agree more. A less qualified bunch to carry firearms I couldn't imagine.

Fuck ... so that's why agents (who was later charged with manslaughter) shot and killed an unarmed Vicki Weavers, while she was holding her 10-month-old baby .. why the same agent shot and wounded Randy Weavers and Kevin Harris (both unarmed) and why agents shot and killed 14-year-old Samuel Weavers after he followed the dogs into the woods hoping they had heard a large game/food animal - but actually stumbled across armed federal agents.
(There was never any proof that the Weavers' family had any illegal guns ... )
(Yeah - I know - thread hijack .. but he pissed me off with his rightwing kneejerk bullshit )
