Wash your hands with toothpaste (add a small amount of water) and then rinse clean. Yes it really works

Yeah, the actual answer, is as above. Citrus.

And the Mrs reckons sugar? I'll take her word for it.

S'alright, she's sparkling minty fresh now.

Works on vagina's, not fingers.

Fushin with the family. Well, they fished and I ran around like a fuckin monkey looking at my rod wondering when I'd get a cast.

The lemon worked for a few minutes, now we're back to fush... albeit with a hint of mint.

Might need to do me a finger bowl.

Hmmmmm, that's next on the list. Might try washing powder after that.

It does when yer gutting it, scaling it and preparing it for the family. Some fucker told me spotty was "ok" to eat. The aftertaste nearly made me puke.
Mackerel and Squid. Wouldn't my hands end up covered in shit?

Not big. 3 about 5/6 inches, with a couple of 3's that the girls landed. The sugar just hurt my hands.

I'm going to pour petrol on them and set them on fire... the fish that is, not the guy that said they could be eaten. Mind you, he didn't say enjoyed and the missus didn't get the aftertaste. I'll remind her of that later. I was just eyeing the WD-40 though.

Go to your nearest tackle store. There are many types of fish smell removing hand soaps and wipes. At FCO we have at least 4 options.

There is even a soap that will lather in salt water so you can wash up at sea.

If this doesn't work, move back to the next row of knuckles and try again.

Whoever it was had probably eaten a small Rig thinking it was a spottie
Gotta chase them after dark (down here anyway) especially in the wee AM hrs, 4-5ft long fish isn't uncommon

Can't even use the shitty bloody things for bait...other fish don't even like them

This is all ambulance at the bottom of the cliff stuff If you don't mind looking a bit of a softie, wear latex gloves when you bait up. Simple! Or take some wet-wipes of some sort and clean up as you go. Both solutions work a treat.

Isn't uncommon? 5ft Spotty? Is one jigging my line per chance . Must have some set of gnashers.

Was sort of thinking about some form of glove as I really don't mind looking like a poosay in the slightest. Will mull things over whilst sleeping as it looks as though we're ALL going fishing tomorrow

 5ft Rig  ha gnashers are naff all a Salmon with river jaw has a worse set to deal with

Decent surf gear (14-16ft rod) or a long line kontiki raft at night of the beach isn't a problem to get Rig (most are 3-4ft), Elephant fish when in season, used to be able to get Groper (Hapuka for you northern types) late July- August not so long ago, seven gill sharks if your gear is heavy enough

A nail brush, soap & cold water will do it. Well, will do a good job, depends how good your soap is.
Hot water sets the proteins in the goo on your hands & sticks like shit to the blanket. It also stimulates bacteria which does not help the whiff. Scrub em up like a surgeon.
All the above is conjecture but it works for me & my chopping boards. I know that if I wash a raw produce board in hot water it will smell, not so with cold.
Table salt will do it, too. Again, cold water, salt on wet hands & rub thoroughly, rinse. Moisturise.

I've heard from a Michelin Star Ex pat French chef that spotties are the closest thing he has found to the Mediterranean Racasse to make stock for Bouillabaisse. True story, he is a keen rock fisherman.
Unless you mean spottie dogs which are sharks. Diced and added to the soup at it's finish.

fuck that would be a bit of fun!! pulling in bronzies on 20kg gear is enough of a workout

 Not really, their just an oversized version of a rig. A Bronzie would have way more balls in putting up a fight.
Use to use mainly just 12kg main line with 25kg shock leader and the business end was a sliding rig with a 6oz weight & 40cm steel trace.
And on a raft set-up it's pretty much a dead haul bringing anything in

Far prefer chasing Salmon, more of a challenge, requires more skill, and decent fish are proper battlers :first:

Spotties are bastard things to hit with a spear gun. Always close to a rock & not a very big target if you want to stone it rather than get towed for an hour. Guaranteed if you go spottie spearing you will mushroom your end.;)

Again, cheating... but it would be a fun trying to justify a mini-gun for fishing.
