What do you all reckon? Have we the numbers?
20 lapper on the Saturday perhaps? (Or is there a minimum laps that need to happen that is greater then this?).
Probably been about 10 years in the waiting, time for a roll call I reckon!
Thoughts please...:D

Sounds promising, any more news on the $50 special event license and whether it can be done on the day? Obviously us passengers need a license too I guess.

Upgrade licence can't be done on the day, pre entries only so we can let MNZ know how many and who. We should have the entry forms up by the end of the week.

Henk

To be honest I don't know, we'd need six
1. Pumba
2. Banjo playing mouth breathers from Palmy
3. Lawrences
4. More Lawrences
5. Rick and I
6. The only thing I can think of is either the scooter chair or Brian and Mel
I guess the sooner we get replies form all of the above or any others I forgot the sooner folk can get onto licences.
I'll be posting the entry form up here tomorrow, if you need the one event upgrade, please get the entries in as soon as pos.

I would think the Scooter would be available to use if anybody was young , fit and brave enough to want to give it a go. Pm me. It may have to be picked up from Auckland though as my van is too small and not too sure what JS is doing yet.

Good to see your making a big effort. I am only getting a license to be a Sidecar swinger, would be great to see these reemerge after so many years off the scene. Will remind Scotty to talk to the Feilding Ag. School, see if they can muster one or two.
There is also some extra bling up for grabs, will post a picture soon...

Hey if i'm not swinging it'll be easier to push this time. Original radiator and header tank are mounted back on it, would need a vacum take off on motor you are going to use to make fuel pump work, have done it before by taping into inlet manifold, ideally you need to go into barrel below piston. Not to hard to slot motor in would take about an hour or two, can bring exhausts, cdi's coils and chain. So if you definately want to run it let me know and i'll get it to Tokoroa on the Friday and we can try to get it going

Wildman, bring it down and between the members of GPR I'm sure it will be up very quickly. All of us have had TF/TS buckets and know them inside out (well mine spent more time on the bench than at the track:pinch: but +20 years of abuse will do that!). The more the better!!

Sounds like a plan, will be good to see you, I guess we need to lean on Henk to offer us the Saturday to race the big Sidecar GP (I am an optimist now from hearing the good vibes), you'll be wanting to head back that Saturday afternoon no doubt Wildman?
On another subject, no pressure Henk, but where's your awesome Kiwibiker "2014 Bucket GP" poster. I'd do one but only good with crayons...
Meanwhile, I got bored at work one day, and these things happened... don't tell my boss....going to a good cause anyway...:woohoo:

Looks like we will have enough rigs, we'll just have to hope we have enough people with the relevant licences to drive and hang off them.
Plan at the moment is to do sidecars Saturday, run a practice / qual in the morning and then the GP as the first race so that we don't give the rigs too much of a chance to break down. Be a damn shame to not be able to run the GP because too many have given up the ghost earlier in the day.

Love the Tags Bert!
Best make it a short practice, maybe with a amount of time before the GP, as then there will be time to tend to any issues?
Or we could wing it on the day, depending on what works best to get the most on the grid?

Hey guys sorry I have only just found this thread, so no one has asked my anything about borrowing a rig... So I'm guessing it's this weekend at Tokaroa? So here's the deal sure some one who has a licence can use it but either I bring it down and some one can help chip in some petrol money or some one can pick it up on the way. The only thing I need to have in f***ing writting is if you break it you fix it. Any one keen to pilot it can at least know it now has working brakes (thanks Andrew) so should give Henck and Rick some thing to look over their shoulders at. Please let me know soon as so I can make plans :)

I suspect when all the others are being pushed back to the pits the blue rig will still be going, I won't mention the 2012 1st place endurance cup sitting in the cabinet, memory serves new we were the only ones on the track (still running) seems my electrics are not to bad yeh. ;)

Hopefully Brenton's Chair will make it down and I can drive/swing.
I've been trying to get a ring-in expert but the event clashes with the hill climb in the Wairarapa.
It may come down to press ganging someone on the day, there will be enough people with the licences, maybe just to the will/stupidity required, easy fixed with threats of violence/bribery.

I had a call from Chris the other day and we will see at the next Mt Welly meet if its possible to get three rigs into his truck, but rest assured if this fails I still have the trailer so 100% my rig will be there. Koba has first dibs but I suppose we will see on the day how things play out, I wont be running in the GP but anyone with a licence can hop on/pilot (if Malcolm cant for any reason).
Spent the other night making a small tweak that might give the blue rig a slight boost, really interested to she how it goes against the others.

If it doesnt fit in the truck or he insists on taking it dowm himself, maybe we can get the scooter in the truck to get it there, 8 will be better than 7, I have organised Gordy & Tina to ride Rithies sidecar . Tracey from pinky racing will swing on mine, & then she will ride it in other events after the GP race. Do i need to find any other licenced riders/ swingers for GP race ?

Numbers sound solid.
Only just got our cams ground tonight, so engine is a little closer to being done. Using my FX 125cc motor, but trying to bring it up to FXR specs. The motors look the same, but boy, are they different in many and unusual ways! Hoping two weeks will be enough.

Enter on day is fine if you have a full licence. To be honest we probably need some crews who don't give a shit who are prepared to get on one of the uncompetitive rigs, to have a viable GP we need 6 to START, doesn't mean they all have to finish.

can you get a upgrade lisance on a day lisance? mate wants to know
No. You can only upgrade a club licence not a day licence.
At this stage it may be too late for the upgrades unless you phone brian. Only way forward may be to drop coin on the full championship licence and hope mnz pushes it through on time.
