If all goes according to plan CB and I will be camped at the far end of the site, across the bog/creek thingy and beside the big-arse poplar tree nearest the corner.

Where we usually put the tent...

And the downside of that would be ... ???

No final destination ... and no reason to go home .. what more could a biker of any age ask for ... ???

Back home from it - a great rally (again!), met the usual suspects, didn't drink too much, didn't get much sleep, had a cool ride home as there was high fog blocking the sun but had at least the road was dry!

Wet-T-shirt contest only had 3 entrants...and one of them was 'optomistic' to say the least.

And picked up Docs gift left for us at Chez Shrek.:msn-wink:

Quite possibly!

Had a fab time in wanaka and the rally catching up with folks, especially scummy, chrissiebimbo, idb, far queue, and a few other non kbers... Amazing the people you meet at these rallys so far from home!

And ofcourse no show 98tls:spanking: one day you better make it a rally we make it to yahear!!

Was a bit disappointed at the rally though... Good early bands, but the late band that barely seemed to get a couple of songs together was a Letdown. And no fun games during the arvo to have a laugh at either, i still remember the good ole days of the naked helmet races... Hehe.

Working on getting a babysitter for march hare, fingers crossed! Be nice to get there, been a few years since i have made it thanks to chief and victorious

Vicky and i are definately going to the March so be good to catch up with the pair of ya (yep even the gobby one).Truth is the destination really was meant to be the rally but not having ridden much of late and enjoying it i simply thought bugger it and carried on.This time i did phone home and let her know what my intentions were.

Shouldn't laugh really as the last couple of rallies I've got to haven't always gone to plan, havin to deal with company that couldn't handle their turps

Did a few miles at least, enjoyed it.Got lucky and managed to do it with no grief from the law so all good,to be honest thats why i dont bother to much anymore and why would ya with the ridiculous speed limit and the enforcement of it.I can quite happily sit in the ute a tad shy of 140 clicks and if i get unlucky then so be it but fucked if i want to spend to much time on the bike at anywhere near 100 clicks an hour its fucking ridiculous not to mention uncomfortable.I realise there just doing there job so no problem with the coppers.Someone needs to take those that make the rules for a ride methinks.

:laugh:All a blur to me.Mate you will love this...was talking to the old man during the week and he told me of just recently when a mate of his from up Blenheim that already owns a Vincent turned up at his place and got out of his station-wagon with a sheepish look on his face, realising something was up the old man said "righto cunt whatcha got" and the bloke lifts the back door on the wagon to reveal a Vincent minus forks and a few other bits that he had bought off a 73 year old bloke that had had it for years but never got to putting it back together,he paid $20,000 for it as is,forks are not a problem apparently as the blokes pretty clever and when asked replied "i will just make some".20k for fucks sake:niceone:

That was fun. 5 days, 1885km, and 21 hours in the saddle. Love the Vincent Rally. Always great weather, and great riding to be had there, back, and around the area.
Wednesday - rode over Arthurs to Greymouth for the the night, and a few drinks. Wet from home to Arthurs and then dry and warm. About 240km.
Thursday - Greymouth to Cromwell for the night, and a few drinks. Perfect day for a ride down the coast - calm and blue all the way, and not much traffic. About 495km.
Friday - Cromwell to the rally for an early camp setup and then off for a ride. Alex, Beaumont, Lunch at Lawrence, on to Milton, Outram, Middlemarch, Ranfurly, and on to the site, and a few drinks. Another mint day for a ride. About 440km.
Saturday - Queenstown for lunch and return ... oh, and a few drinks. Yet another mint day for a ride. About 200km.
Sun - Home up through the middle. Wet off and on from around Fairlie to Rakaia Gorge. About 500km. No drinks today - I need to dry out!
