Damaged footpeg splines on a TT500?

how would you go about restoring these-im not too concerned about 'originality' so open to the idea of removing the existing corroded splines to adapt an easier/simple robust set up......im guessing the orig replacement splines are rare

fabrication is not impossible. methink the only alternative would be a keyed shaft... that size.... maybe.
