Hi all. I'm looking for someone to replace the drive shaft in my R1100GS. I've got the replacement shaft already. Was going to do it myself but would need to buy a couple of decent torque wrenches and other odd tools I don't have already. If anyone would be keen to assist with tools and a hand I'll buy the beers :)

Apparently there's no official BMW service in Nelson any longer. I know lots of shops might say they can do the job but BMWs are a bit "unique" so I'd prefer to at least have an independent reference and hopefully avoid handing over a pile of cash (and my bike!) to some monkey.

Cheers,
Greg

Freight the bike to a BMW dealer! LOL! May as well buy a new bike....

It could be cheaper to buy torque wrenches if it means having to get the bike freighted to a BMW dealer. Where possible I have always prefered to spend money on tools rather than shop labour.

I dont know what his BMW experience is, but we've always had great service from Andy at AB's Ducati. Can do type of guy.
