We had a bike parked up here for a while, it got moved the other day from the carpet it had been sitting on (yes we look after bikes here, a bit like a cattery, but for bikes) and it left an imprint of the rear tyre.. can anyone identify the brand/make of tyre?

Google will not help you with this, you will have to know your rubber, 715 to the first to get it right.

One previous post was close, but wrong tyre model attached. There is more to the pic than the three groove marks...iykwim.

Easy really eh Jono? There are extra stripes/dots between the three obvious ones which was the giveaway.

Not sure of the brand, but you need to tell the owner not to be so harsh on down shifts.

Yeah .. it looks like a Conti pattern ... remember the bike has been on the side stand, so the picture only shows the side of a tyre ..

It was a PR3 trust me... the secondary grooves can be seen if you look at the pic closely, you may think they are a tuft of carpet? they were more evident with the naked eye which is why I thought the tyre would be named early, Laava was close with the PR2 but obviously he couldn't see the smaller grooves/dots (it was a rear tyre)
I have PR3's on the Bandit also (which I am now keeping)

It wasn't the secondary grooves ... it was the straightness of the major lines ... they just didn't seem to match the PR3 curved treads ...
