Hi all,

I have replaced the rear shock on my wife's Hyosung GTR250 with a unit from a GSF 400 Bandit. On the surface, everything fits and matches... The kicker is, is that if the swing arm is at is full negative extension (less than 0 load), the base plate under the spring rubs against the knuckle that the linkage bars attach too. When the shock is under normal load there is about a 10mm gap/clearance. Has anyone out there tried this combination or can any one see a major problem that I don't? Like I said, plenty of clearance under normal load.. Look forward to hearing your take on this..

sounds like it could catapault ya. Under heavy front brakes itll go to full extension then bottom/top out knocking the plate.
Hows it look standing on the pegs as opposed to ass on seat?

Thanks Akzle... We stood on the pegs and bounced until it almost bunny hopped and it seemed to clear ok.. I havn't ridden it myself, but my mate who is using it at the moment seems to think it is like a completley different bike, not the pogo stick we had before, no sign of any feeling that it might be rubbing or catching on the base plate, so, so far so good.
