I have just noticed that the whole haedlights gets not warm but hot to touch even after about 20min ride.
Previous owner installed the aftermarket kit and I just replaced the bulb. Maybe its been always this hot not sure.. but I've just noticed it.

Does anyone here have the same issue? Or know if this is normal?
Cheers

The lens is getting too hot to touch you mean? That doesn't sound right, but you've got both a new ballast and new bulb in there now right? so there shouldn't be anything wrong with the bulb's output; maybe it just doesn't get much cooling to the lens.

He-hey, yes I did get new ballast and new bulb. The bulbs from ebay (from china) and the seller sent me slightly different bulb (So I had to make it fit). But it was just a mount Ill check if I have unknowningly blocked the "air vent" while making the new mount. Cheers

Yeah .. my lights get hot to touch too ...

I don't see it as a problem ... I've never replaced either bulb ... and just don't touch the headlights while I'm riding ..

The plug starts to melt on one of mine if I use full beam while doing less than 70/80km/h

You guys know HID is a much different story to traditional filament bulbs right?
