So after having to go back to my Cage while my thumb heals and my bike is re-paired, I have noticed a lot more instances of people almost SMIDSYing me whilst in my car than before.

Now when this happened whilst on my Bike, I believed that this was due to me being a smaller object, less visible etc.

However in my Car (A Mazda 6) this has started happening

So the only logical conclusion is that becoming a motorcyclist grants you some form of Partial invisibility when on the road.

The next logical conclusion is that we on KB should try and investigate this phenomena to see if we can go from partial to full invisibility, and then become highly paid assassins - in order to topple governments and take positions of supreme Tyranny

You missed the option that riding bikes gives you more awareness of what is happening around you on the road ...

You probably have the same number of near misses in a car you've always had - you just notice the idiots more ... they are where you used to be ...

There are some pretty stupid bike riders out there on the road ... even when you are looking out for them because they are bikes ffs!

A bike rider trying to take the offensive position against cars has got to be the stupidest thing ... like taking a knife to a gun fight!

that isn't as much fun as the potential for some form of Super Power, which I believe we should be working on.

Maybe if I wear my Bash-Hat while driving my Car - it might enhance my Invisibility....

You mean I can ride my bike into girls changing room?

Well, the engine noise and Petrol smell *might* give the game away, but in theory, yes.

More like taking a thumb-tack to an artillery duel.

If you placed the thumbtack really REALLY well, you could win that like a Boss.

So, when you wear a "cloak of invisibility" (hi viz vest) you can become fully invisible and do as EJK suggests?

I think it may be a case of they do see you, regardless of what you're riding/ driving, they just don't care and pull out/ cut you off anyway. The only time when I definitely didn't have this problem was when I was tearing down the streets of London in a box truck. People gave way to me then. :woohoo:

Hmmm you may be onto something - this could also be why NZ drivers don't move out of the way of Emergency vehicles - maybe the more visible you make yourself, the less visible you actually are....
