My new bike is sitting in Chch and I am trying to get it to Welly. Going and getting it myself is proving to be a major hassle at the moment. Can anybody recommend a good freight company that will take care of my new pride and joy and get it to me in Welly asap???

You could also try a furniture delivery company, they wrap your baby in blankies, nice and snuggled up. I just got mine brought up from Wellington to Jafaville, all in good nik. Not all will do it, but phone around?

yep...have used jeffs before...they got my tractor and silage wagoon...2 motorbikes and a trailer to the nth Island in 8hrs....they don't fuck around!!!
You will need to talk to john [I think thats his name} he's the guy that does the boat deliveries...ask for his phone number and call him...he does a boat run every monday as far as I know...so he'll put a bike on one of those trucks...as the boats are fibreglass and quite fragile your bike will be treated as such too...

I used Cycle Move to get a bike from Akld to Chch. Alan was excellent.
Highly recommended.
(i got his name from a posting on these boards actually)
0274 226 568.
I could ride it to Picton for you on Saturday if you want. All you need to do is jump on the Fairy and meet me there.
No charge, and I'll pay for the gas.

Scooter dude, use Cyclemove: Alan is brilliant. They moved my bike from Hamilton to Wellington - $160ish.

Hey thanks everybody for their replys. I have just spoken with Alan from Cyclemove and me baby will be in Welly on thursday. this is having being let down by Biketranz yesterday when they took someone else's bike in my booked spot instead. Wankers. I must concur with Cowpoos dude re Biketranz now. Have also had other negative feedback via a big shop in Welly re their ratshit service. Everybody needs to get behind Cyclemove and use them exclusively. Cheers

I send a lot of bikes (100's) from Christchurch to the North Island and have been using Biketranz since their first trip. I have had some issues with them being a little late from time to time but they have never damaged a bike and they allways arrive! I have also used Cycle Move, they were good too. I think it is good for everyone to have competition out there so I wouldn't write off Biketranz just yet.

ive been whoring trademe and bikepoint for sooooooo long in search for a bike...
theres that 91 zxrc250 with 9XXX km's for $4995 inc onroad, which is still there as far as i know, or the other which sounds better for 5.295 or something, but thats a bit of coin, but trademe just isnt coughing up many options, ive got a few bids here and there, but fuck,
each day at work, sun shining, work outside, its so fucking taunting and i dont think i can handle it any longer

Im not impressed with Bike Tranz, I paid $380 to get my latest from North Shore Auckland to ChCh (which was a lot I thought)
Five mins after it arrived I was sitting there looking at it and I discovered that it had a leaking front fork seal, I phoned them up straight away and they claimed that they wer'nt reponsible and to 'plug it up'... Getting new seals fitted is gonna cost me another $100 so Im not impressed...
