$30k, seems reasonable. But what's the reserve?

Meh, that's OW01 money for a smelly Gasaxe. Those wheels look pretty stock, if pretty abused, clip ons std, blah swingarm & there are no quick change fittings on axles etc that make me think that's a serious endurance bike. Privateer bike maybe. A factory wouldn't take that to say the 8 hr & not be laughed at surely.

Wouldn't get you the drained fork oil of a OW31, that's a real racebike, not a tarted up commuter

Guys on the GSXR Forum reckon it's kosher. Pretty much every bolt on part looks more 'race spec' than my '88. USD's etc.
Actually an update. Guy on there has booked a ticket to Singapore to check it out, so we'll probably get a report.

Just noted the enduro filler caps too. Taller than stock tank.
Don't get me wrong, it looks like it's had a fairly good thrashing for years before it was eventually parked up.

Looks pretty privateer compared to the Rymer/Fogarty KFRT ZXR endurance racer of the same era by way of visible parts

Asking bit much if its not the complete original, respray etc...
There was an ex Suzuki Full Factory SBK engine somewhere while back going for about $60 000

I'd like to know more about the engine actually. What specification it was built to, a list of internals would be nice.
Anyone care to estimate the hours on it?

I'll have to scan it off.
Just got pics of parts of the bike and a shot of it at a night pit stop change over
It's the Kawasaki France race team ZXR...the dominant endurance racer of the time Le Mans, Spa, & Bold'Or.
1st readily noticeable difference is the kayaba forks ...... QR dropouts for the ZXR surely the SERT would sport the same spec.
By comparison the gixxer looks like just a spruced up RR

Found a piccy on net

Also spotted a Bonhams auction from a couple of years ago of the KFRT ZXR that Alex Vieira took the world endurance championship title with. Sold for 11500 pound (just under $22800) mmm makes this gixxer with no background history way too expensive

Good work. What year is that, a '92? I think that's the year Foggy won it.
1985-1995 was just a huge evolution period for racing machines.
The more I think about it, I am inclined to agree that the asking price might just be a starting point for negotiations. It would certainly be more attractive if we had some provenance.

Yep 92.....Fogarty/Rymer are quoted as current world endurance champions in the article; it was compiled just from the Philip Island round of the world endurance series early 93. Impressive bike 150kg/150hp, the final sentence in the article sums it up pretty well....."Remember this bike runs full electrical system complete with powerful headlights; that is quiet tractable, smooth, and very fast; It is incredibly light, easy to ride, easy to adjust & tune, easy to repair, and that it rarely breaks down, even after being thrashed for 24hrs".
The gixxer, the more it's looked at it makes you wonder; the fairing is almost identical to the very rare Yoshimura edition 1100

I completely fail to see how a 2000 sbk engine in anyway relates to a '89 endurance machine.

Looks like a bit of a bastard lovechild to me
USD's with custom fork ends/brake mounts?
Slabside generation frame with later M/N tank?
Rear plastics off a GSXR400 SP
Unknown swingarm
Fairings modelled off M/N generation

It certainly looks like a bitser that has been put together by a drunk Frenchie on a late Friday afternoon. The tail section is definately from the 89 GSX400RR SP (it does not mate here well with the tank and frame) And the fairing looks like the later model 91 GSXR400. Infact the whole thing looks like a 91ish GSXR400 with perhaps the big motor squeazed in there somewhere.
