Dont know about anyone else, but I'm thinking of fitting my thermal lining back into my jacket. For February, I have found the weather bloody cool. In my books this summer has been the worse for years in the Waikato. This week we've had two days of summer and three days of cold winds. The nights in particular, have been cold.
How has your summer been where you are?

I wear a sweatshirt, balacalva and winter gloves to work in the morning, come home in a T shirt and summer gloves. Summer was late last year too, and we had a long drought.

It's been cold and windy here. Certainly no where near as warm as last summer.

Superb!
Fuck all tar-melt on the roads so far.
Even the cicadas have only just arrived. Perhaps a late summer is on the cards... or straight into autumn?

It's been nice, first year in Hamilton that I've been able to get good sleep most nights through summer. I agree about the thermal lining though, it is rather tempting.

and the fucking wind
I've been riding home in big winds all spring and summer....but no tail winds on the way to work of course. I've usually got my bike set up with big flattrack handlebars, and have now gone all sporty with low narrow bars and S fairing - much better in the wind now and behind curtainsiders.

An occasional taster and that's about it - while away in January had to add thermal tights and extra top layers and since returning to work have to wear lining and mid-season gloves in the morning and then remove lining and summer gloves going home... think we should complain to the Commerce Commission about "goods not fit for the purpose"...

Zipped up the vents in me jacket when it showered today. South West breeze me thinks. Having said that it's still 23c out side as I tap. Had more southerly's than normal but have not suffered from high humidity. Was 33c a couple of days ago. Been lovely so far. I do like it oop norf.
