ADV Road in Northland

Taking a few days off at Easter and going up North two up for a few days, planning of going up round Dargaville and up 90 Mile beach? Any roads/sights I should see along the way?
Some easy gravel would be interesting as I have just picked up an R80ST, should be better 2 up on gravel than the R90/6:innocent:

From Dargaville head west 20km to the coast and ride the beach, heading South to the tip of Poutu Point is NZ's oldest wooden lighthouse, or you can just ride from Glinks gully to Balys Beach. Ride the coastal side of the point, not the inland side. Crossing the ferry at Rawene is quite cool.

Most of the gravel roads up the west side of Northland are fun - tracing the harbours around.
