Went for a ride with the Naki crew, including a few KBers, they know who they are. Was the slowest rider there I think and by the time I arrived back in New Plymouth I was having thoughts of harming my bike. I was totally peeved with its lack of preformance and the fact that I had to totally ring its neck to keep up. Over the next two days the thoughts got worse, I was totally unhappy with the way the bike handled and the fact that it would give me all it had, but it was not enough. Oh well, I think I've out grown the CB400, better think about getting rid of it before I kill it (have done it to other bikes "I've out grown"). So unless I find someone who could do with the CB400, it'll be traded in on the new bike. Oh and for all those wondering. I've tried out all the brands but my instincts was right. I'm buying another Honda. That and the price has just dropped to a very reasonable price. I'm just waiting for the available colours so that I might make my choice. There is a blue one that I don't like. Below are the ones I do like. The first being the one I like the most and the last being the one I like the least. What do you all think, or am I just going to be bagged for buying another Honda? :weird:

The first one, but not sure if that colour is available here. Buying new or S/H? Some cheap CBR1000RR's on Trade Me, you'd pick up one for the same price if not cheaper than a new 600.

if you wanna keep up with the naki boys I have the perfect solution...not to much power...huge mid range...handles like a 600...if not better in its current guise...and alot cheaper...never been broken down... http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=16050

When does it arrive?

I'm jelous.
A couple of people have said I've outgrown my Zeal. I'd love to get a bigger bike, but it's going to be a while yet before I can, due to still being on my restricted and not having the cash.
I reckon those honda bikes certainly got it right in the looks department.

Have tried the 636, R6, GSXR 600 & 750. The 636 was the second choice and the price is pretty much equal now. However I'm not buying a bike because of the price, might as well get what I want ahe. :devil2:
Erik, it took along time. There was a time, I hate to admit it, when I rode a GN250 (I killed it in the end on a motorcross track). Was a good day when it was replaced with a RZ350LC. However now that the Ba & educational shyte is done and I earn good bling, I'm going in for what I really want. Make a life plan Erik, you'll get there mate. I thought when I started my Ba that I'd get a nice cage, glad I over came that friggin stoopid idea... Oh and I started green bling for all the kind words, but it told me VERY quick that I'd handed out too much :nono:

Seems the only changes for '06 are colours!
The 2006 Honda CBR600RR and CBR600F have both been revealed for the first time, with new colour schemes for both bikes.

The CBR600RR, designed to echo the Honda MotoGP race bike, gets three new paintschemes. The most unusual of these is the 'Pearl Fire Orange, with Graphite Black and Digital Silver Metallic'. This is joined by an Italian Red option, or the more stealthy Graphite Black.

Underneath, the bike remains the same as in 2005, with a die-cast frame, full adjustable suspension, and radial-mounted front brakes.

The CBR600F continues in the same vein, with the choice of Digital Silver Metallic, or Italian Red paintschemes for 2006. It retains the twin-spar aluminium frame and 599cc fuel-injected motor of the 2005 model. It also has fully-adjustable suspension .

After telling her what I was feeling, she said that we had better go and get me a new bike! :done: Did not know that there was this type of female available after all my previous experiences with them :argh:
One thing that puzzles me though. I've looked at the pictures of the 2005 model and compared it to the pictures of the 2006 model, and I can't really see much difference between the two. I have been told that the 2007 model will have some pretty bif technological advances though. :psst:

Went for my first ride, only a small one mind you. Had to see the naki butcher that helped me stay afoat while a student with a much need job. Had to get out of town because it was just wanting to go too fast. Out of town, it still had that problem. Mind you, I ain't complaining, am I? Found myself sticking my knees out without much thought, but was not really leaning the bike over enough to make much of a difference. I actually found it harder not to bring my feet up a bit a to stick my knee out. Unusual as I've not needed to do that for a long long time. Maybe this bike will help me refind my riding mojo that was knocked out of me when a car did a U-turn in front of me on a older bike and put me in hospital? Dunno, but it would be nice to think so. Have to do 1000km to run it in. Have the weekend off so all I need is some good weather and I'm off. :D I'm happier than a pig in shit and are , opps just had to go away again and do another 50 km ride. Have taken a pic or two, will try to post at least one.

Hey Inline....... NICE...... I am rapt that you finally have your bike..... might have to take a trip..... looks toooo good!!!! :bleh:

I'm buying another Honda. What do you all think, or am I just going to be bagged for buying another Honda?

A REAL MAN !

Come join the CBR600RR real man's club :headbang: :niceone:

My advice is to install a aftermarket Can, cos the factory one sounds like a sewing machine. Hope you have a soft bum, cos the seat on the CBR is not the most comfortable.

VERY LAME , YOU SHOULDA GOT A GSXR1000 OR ZX10

Some of us are actually quite happy with the size of our genitalia amd don't feel the need to have to over compensate in other areas to make up for inadequacies elsewhere. I checked with my better half and she agrees with me that my preformance in that area is no though for concern what so ever and that it could be quite likely a contrubuting factor to why I "only" brought a CBR600RR :killingme

But the pictures I have are too big to post. Have just been playing around with my camera and if I can suss it out will take some smaller shots that I can actually post here at KB. The ones that I have posted are atually thumbnails from gmail emails :weird:
Edit: I've just had a play with the digital camera and a read of the user manual. Have changed the resolution so that I can take pictures that are compatable with the KB site. Will post some tonight. :done:

Take your pics full resolution & I'll show you how to resize them for uploading. A small shareware program called Irfanview can be downloaded from the net or I can supply. It is small & powerfull for slideshows, special effects, resizing and cropping to name a few - highly recommended.

"She" can get her own bloody bike! That and she can't even get onto it since she is vertically challenged and the fact that its my toy and I ain't sharing. I offered her he old bike, offered a 125 or 250cc bike, but she wants a scooter??? :calm:
Went for a ride South and back again. Managed to double the KMs I've done on it. Was also Christened from above, thanks to the lovely naki weather. On my way back into town saw a Repsol blade and I think a ZXR 636. However a red light stopped me from finding out who they are. Managed to get some pictures of lower resolution after adjusting the settings on my camera. The last one is especially for Winja and all the non-believers :devil2:

Unexpected family drama has meant that I'll not be coming along on the ride tomorrow. The mojo is there, I could feel it trying to get out. I just need to improve my fitness (work in progress) so I can push harder as it is holding me back. However this has just given me the push in the direction I need to go and know that I'll only improve riding my new bike. Cheers nadroj for all the great pictures, software and tutorial on how to alter digital pictures. I don't have time at the moment to post more, but my profile picture is now the real thing. :niceone:

More of them than straights about here. One of the many reasons why I opted for a 600cc bike. I found myself wanting to speed up just for the courners like when I was a teenager. If this is what they refer to a mid life crisis, I'm all for it. If not, I'm all for it anyway. That and in yesterdays paper, in a recient survey, 52% of women would prefer to go to bed with a bald male. Mine is falling out, no were are those 52% of women??? :devil2:
