As current petrol prices hurt the wallet, the number of visits to a servo will do the same. :nono: :oi-grr:
How many times did you stick the long metal thing in the hole this month?
I commute to the airport 5x/wk - chuck in a track day and couple of weekend blats - I score 13!!! :ride:

I would imagine I "filled 'er up" about 20-25 times in August. Maybe a little higher than average but then, it is my birthday month. And she's not complaining.

If it needs filling I go and do it. Just a blip in an otherwise awesome ride. Yea fuel costs, either pay or walk I reckon. I'm doing my bit for the fuel crisis by getting a bigger bike :devil2:

I'm looking forward to her response. I'm guessing September might be a "dry" month :devil2:

What he calls "fill her up", she probably thinks is a 'splash and dash'.

You forgot to add zero poll option.

Been using bike every day this month. Could still have easily not tanked this month and ride for another 1-2 weeks but decided to fill up yesterday as the 3/4 empty level was approaching. Shocked at the price I had to pay. A whole $11.35 so blew this month $10 fuel allowance.

Yes I run my bike on a strict budget :dodge:

Let me do the math on this one.

You used the bike every day, and total cost was $11.35.

That makes your daily cost equal to 37cents.

At todays "fist you for gas" prices- you used on average 250mls per ride.

Just how far do you ride on 250ml gas per day? My bike might get to the letter box.... :oi-grr:

Probably 4 – 6 times @ $10 each – not bad in comparison to double that in the cage (With saying that, cage is sitting outside with moss growing on it  )
This petrol thing may make the smaller cc bikes and cages more expensive - hope it doesn’t for the ones still wanting to get into bikes - but for those selling just ignore what I have said.

Filled bike once, used 98 octane, over $21 to fill :oi-grr: but only rode bike twice this month, maybe next month......

'Tis an FXR150 I see. So it's not too far fetched. Dunno what an FXR does per gallon. But L'il Ratty does 80mpg caned, and 90 if I'm gentle. FXR should be at least that good.

$11.35 @ $1.50 per litre = 7.54 litres = 1.7 imperial gallons. At 90mpg that's 151 miles = 242km approx. Divided by 30 days - 8km per day AVERAGE. But doubtless some days (weekends etc) usage might have been minimal - so maybe typically 10 or 12 km a day. Not a big mileage but he said he was on a strict budget. So a ride to werk/uni and back each day. Reasonable enough if you're skint.

I went through 3x rear tyres this month, made my petrol bill look a little sad..........also made me realize that i work to ride and nothing else, not a lot left over after tyres and petrol etc are taken into account.

Tis the price you pay for that X in the model. Be glad you are not riding a big two stroke.

Saw HEAPS of bikes on the road yesterday. Wonder if it's the weather or the gas price...

Last tank was around town with a couple short nailings in high speed zones for higher rpm workout.
That tank averaged: 37.6km/l or 106.4mpg.

I filled up 27 times in Augerst. I figgered if I filled up frequently and little, it'd cost me less for gas. And petrol.

Sounds right. Mine used to get around 32kml before I had the carby played with to get rid of that low rev flat spot on acceleration.

It's costing me $2.00 a week more.
Time to trade down I guess. :scooter:
