Hey all,
Str8 Jacket has been injured and at home all week as a result of a dodgy motorcycle manouvre last weekend and is keen to get out and have a drink tomorrow night (Thursday). Im sure she would love you wgtn (or elsewhere) KBers to come along. Str8 is offline this week so Im trying to coordinate via txt.

So I was thinking:
Venue - Dog and Bone
Time - 7pm onwards.

[EDIT] - It seems Str8 Jkt is online this week...*whoops*...over to you!

Sound good?
Thanks!

Or....... If you guys were keen we could meet up at the Grumpy Mole in Lower Hutt cause a few of us (incl KBers) head over there on Thursday nights. I'd be out there more like 8.30/9 though.

I had thought of that Velox but the person transporting Str8 may have to go all the way in and then all the way out there again. What do others think?

Got a new tyre on today so will come in to town for a ride to scrub it in. Either venue is fine...so long as its clear which one before I leave.....

So - where are we going?

To the Mole or to the Dog?

I shall see if we can stroll that way...toward the Dog & Bone that is as we'll be in town but with others.

Skunk - can you text me and let me know if the venue changes please.

If the venue was to change to the Hutt would anyone be driving out there in a cage (or could they) from Wellington? Apparently VTWIN has offered to get Str8 for the Wgtn option, but it would be a mission for him to march into town, back to the Hutt, then into town again, then to the Hutt (home). Str8 lives on the Brooklyn-Owhiro Bay rd.

Thanks

I say keep it in town. Velox and others will have to make the trek! :D There's plenty of us in town to raise a glass or two - if VTwin is still cool with driving Miss Jacket of course! :)

(P.S. Nothing against the Hutt personally, or any of the KBers in the Hutt obviously - just being selfish as to venue choices. Hell...I'd have suggested Jet...but apparently they don't like bike gear cluttering their pretty little booths!!!).

Ok, everyone, the drinks are at the Dog and Bone (Lambton Quay - used to be Paris) tonight (thursday) from 7pm onwards. Maybe those willing can go out to the Hutt afterwards...I understand you guys laugh at the pretty cages on the riverbank carpark?

See you all there.

What's wrong with overpriced cocktails and bottles of wine then huh? Not to mention the 18 year old crowd on a Friday night (which is why I go there midweek). :hbd: (I always wondered where the cocktail glass smiley is!!)

The chips are really good...when you're cold and sitting outside with your mates who all smoke!

And the heaters are BRILLIANT when they're still on at 4am on a Saturday and you need a sit down and a rest*.

*reasons why I don't go on Sunday morning rides!
