WTB - First bike for 20 yr old

Friends son is looking to buy a bike to travel to rowing training and other commuting in Auckland. He is a big lad and is looking for 2nd hand LAMS that would haul his bulk at motorway speeds.

'00 hornet 250, fresh wof and 3 month reg a couple weeks ago.
Yoshimura exhaust, belly pan, new chain & sprockets, steering head bearings replaced yesterday.

In my limited experience my VTR 250 handles well and my friends one carries his 190cm frame acceptably at motorway speeds. It also looks good :D
