Are you opening the engine or doing any checks there? i.e. compression test, looking at clutch etc?

It lives, and still fast as ever  just up and down a quiet road to try iron out the shit.

Getting a wider tire on the front has left it a little tall, sometimes juuuuust scraping on the guard

Good work. That front guard "just rubbing" now, will rub like all hell when at 100k's sustained.

Then you end up with a burnt front guard. Space it on it's mounts and get some clearance back.

So, you own more Toyotas! I better come have a look some day, I might have to steal the AW11 though.
Although, always had a soft spot for the ST16 Sillycars

How many MR2's you have? I just spotted another white one behind the garage!

I stand by my previous comment - what they hell with the 250?! Get those classics on the road!

Best thing about a GT4 is the gearbox for making Mazda BFMR/GTXs less explodey :msn-wink: good stong box them, unless you get one that has been run with crap/old oils (IE, all of them...) and then have dirty syncros and change like shit... DAMHIK

Yeah I really liked the GT4......but they would shit turbo's faster than I could drop burritos.

Most GT4 drivers fucked clutches too. Was a good car to learn to short shift in DAMHIK.......

Yup, 165 and 185s had the delicious CT26 on them. I don't think there is a good one in existence any more... terrible turbo.

There's a cheap GT4 local to me actually :innocent:

Pulled the carbs off and pulled them down make sure i didnt have slider boot problems blocked jets etc, little bit of rusty crap in there and nothing else of much interest but i did notice the boot cap on no4 was dented which might have bottomed out the slider so tidied that up, pulled all the jets out and blew them out, these things point to the sky its a wonder they work at all, i have my rev range back again!:apumpin:

Just rolling through old threads and I read through this one. Couple things to say.. good work with the 250... but stop hoarding all the oldschool Toyotas please. Feel free to share them. Beams the carina and sell to me for chips please. Thank you.
