View Full Version : How can I get a slipper clutch for my '03 Yamaha R6?

Hey. I'm running a 2003 R6 at the odd raceday. My model didn't come with a slipper clutch and if there was a relatively easy or cheap way to get one, I'd be keen! Realistically what are my options? All I can think of is;
a) find an aftermarket one (which seems to cost about $2000 for a suter one on ebay and my year isn't even listed)
b) buy a newer bike that already has one
I'm guessing the later model bikes slipper clutches won't fit the earlier bike?
Let me know if anyone has any ideas I haven't considered..
Cheers:first:

May well be possible to make a later clutch work,plenty on the TL forum have fitted later model GSXR slipper to there old TLs,i would sign up on a Yamaha specific forum and do a search if you get no joy here.

I put one of these in my CBR. Love it.

Isn't anyone local that I know of so I had to buy online. Unfortunately that means you get snapped for GST when it hits Customs so bet on 15% more plus their processing fee.
Worth it though. It dropped an easy couple of seconds off my lap times.
