I have a novice mechanical question (first time working on a bike )

I'm looking into doing a carb strip and clean on my bike, so have been doing some research into the BST-40 Carb's
Found a helpful step through guide but have stumbled across a head scratcher.

The previous owner has fitted what looks to be a GSXR exhaust and done a real gash mod to the air box ( hacksawed a rather large hole in the top - to improve 'the flow' )
now I found in the carb guide that if you have done any of these mods it recommends to change the jets in the carb also. One can only hope this was done, so when I pull it apart to clean I want to check to see if it has otherwise do it myself.
Only this is where I am stranded... how do you know what jets are fitted (are they marked with a number, or is it a size measurement that you have to check??)

And another question.... would anyone know or recommend which jets should be fitted with these mods?

The link above is an awesome post.
Look closely at the jets, they are stamped with the sizes.

funny enough I stumbled across that link just after posting on this thread, thanks guys...
turns out I have found the cause to my problems being just below the carbie...
the spark plugs, the previous owner has some how managed to strip the thread on the inner spark plug...:brick:
so it took a little effort to get it out, and once out I noticed it wasn't even seated properly in the first place (due to being thread being stripped)
So the spark plug was sitting just proud of the cylinder head, resulting in the power loss...
So now looking at getting the thread repaired with recoils or helicoils... not cool man.... not cool.
