WANT. NEED. LUST.

The Domiracer is built around the new 961cc Norton Commando engine and features a specially designed featherbed style tubular frame. The new bikes bodywork is made up of a lightweight carbon fibre seat, air box and front fender and a handmade aluminium tank gives it a distinct Cafe Racer style which was the exact intention.

Unfortunately they cost 24,000 pounds... and only 50 of them will be made so I'd be very surprised to ever see one down this end of the world.

Will there be a 3 year wait like for the 961's? Maybe its time for Mr Garner to sell the operation to Mr Bloor.
WOW...handmade aluminium front fender....

So the 'test rider' is on a UK road, and not 'going for it' but still has to pose with the knee out, yup that really impresses me. :tugger:

Bike looks a bit 'small' for the rider, and if this is a $60,000 bike? That Muffler really sucks. No excuse for obvious welds etc, looks home brew, which is not acceptable for a bike of that value IMO.
Overall it has captured the 'Cafe Racer' look, but I think the seat/tail piece could have been made more 'authentic' looking.

I honestly wouldn't have a clue but I doubt that the engine would fit if it wasn't like that, I just like looking at it. It's exactly how I got it.

Me too .. nice bike ... but what's it doing in your lounge? It deserves to be on the road .. (or track)

Norton engine in a Norton frame - I've never seen a Featherbed with a bent lower frame rail like that.

Id say its to mount the engine lower.

Ah yes, I see the crank is much lower than the mainshaft. Would make pulling the cyl head off a lot easier too, takes a bit of dexterity in the stock frame, although I took the sinister version to do the job.

Unfortunately the gentleman that constructed the bike passed away suddenly & I purchased it of his family, who knew little about its finer details. It's on methanol & goes very well.
However I did really only buy it as art, so it's more about looking at than riding or fixing for me.

Clean some up & bring them inside.
I don't want to go to the garage everytime I want to admire some engineering.

Surely some well engineered watches would be better than tripping over that instead of riding it, but each to their own.

Our house is such that we don't trip over the five that are inside. ;)
