well here it is...my new baby from this saturday.
and for those who may not recognise it, it is a Buell Firebolt XB12R, 2004.
yeah okay...it is Harley motor in a fancy frame as D had so eloquently put it a few days back.
It has custom paintwork, the guy who is selling it was going to race it but just doesn't have the time...hense the unusual colouring, the HD racing colours.
We are heading down to fairlie to pick it up (about 2 hours or so from chch) on saturday morning for anyone who wants to come along (meet at Rolleston main road servo about 8.30-9am), fingers crossed the weather is good, cos i dont fancy riding a new bike back in the rain, otherwise it could be a VERY slow trip!
ooooooooo I'm soooo damn excited :woohoo:

A shit load of time has been put into it from athe paint too the rear sets, clipons fancy frount break set up dampner and race kitted engine etc.
Should be a ok ride on Sat morning aye...... :ride:

What a novel concept that would be :Punk:

I know...I read it...pretty cool :Punk:
Now all i have to do is learn how to corner it myself...bit of a chicken is me...maybe i just shut my eyes and let the bike do it?? :devil2:

Congratulations, Rashika! Nice bike.
I don't think you'll need to close your eyes when cornering; the thing about bikes that corner easily is that it's so effortless you don't even have to do more than look at the corner and they seem to go around by themselves!

Oi- change your bloody bike on your user thingy! 'Maybe a Buell soon' is now outdated. Shit I love seeing someone getting the bike they have dreamed of owning.

Really nice bike you have scored. A little envy here ,Ill get over it.
So did it win hands down over the Porsch or was it a bit closer ?

ah...well given that the porsche was $79,000 dearer, I think the Buell was an easy choice!

Well.... ya know riding in less than 10* temp and the wet wasn't all that bad.... actually it was the 1st time I have worn Cordura in that sort of weather, bloody good it was, beats leather hands down.
Ok Meet at the servo... where was every one? Jimmie was there on the GB but was only saying hi before buggering off home.
Rashika's mate Sharon on a 1200 Bandit was also waiting and keen to get the show on the road.
Pic's.... The bike was brought from High Country m/c in Fairlie Noel Jackson is the owner, what a perfectionist he is heres a couple of his bikes that he has modded Rashika's bike being his very own bike.
pic1) Noels wifes S1 Lightning
2) X1 Lightning that is having a 1680cc S&S jamed in it
3) mini chopper..... so cool
4) Rashika's XB12R FireBolt
5) XB12R Firebolt

Good to hear youall got back OK. Was it raining/wet roads for most of the way?
The first of the pics you posted looks really great. Do High Country mc do the custom painting themselves. A Harley rider at work had his painted somewhere down that way.
