Im meeting up with Bren_CHCH for a ride to Akaroa round 1230 on Saturday arvo. Who would like to join us?

well we got a group going south with Dangerous and Rashika so a bit of a clash with regards to days ;) i cant afford the big trip south so its Akaroa for me!

Meet at Halswell Junction, just outside of the vets for a 12:30 leave, if your late you get to play catch-up! :motu:

Cruise down, have a coffee in akaroa, chat for a while and head back.

Hey it's not that much of a detour! When I rode back from Wanaka in January I detoured through there to get home cause I was sick to death of going straight and wanted to end the ride on a good note! Freinds flying overseas? Weeeeeelll, I guess I can let you away with that one.

Yeah it was a 92.. The guy I bought it of said it was the very first blade registered in NZ.. don't know accurate that was.. Speedo was in mph.. quite funny tellin pillions this after they've been for a spin. Had Dynojet kit, k&n, and Two bros pipe. Dynoed at 129bhp.. it was an awesome bike!! It was still able to keep up with th R1's at the track when they came out. Had to sell as I was a poor student.. still miss it.

Was over to Akaroa with a mate today and the road is all good apart from a few stones just before hilltop where the 4WD track starts.

Thanks for the offer Sniper but I don't think I will make it tomorrow (price of petrol, things to do etc) and was tempted to head to Fairlie with Rashika etal as an alternative. Doubt I will be going far tomorrow. Will catch you around some time tho.

well from what i can see akaroa way is looking much lighter and its moving towards us, we should be ok but can we give it till 12 before we decide for sure? as the roads are WET as! maybe even leaving at 1:30 would be good as i wanna have some fun on the ride, soaking wet roads dont make me have fun. :)

Was a good ride, the road was dry pretty much everywhere, in some places it was VEEEERRRYYY Windy!

at high tide the water forces the midges away from thier normal areas and they go hover over the road. a friend of mine once had his visor go black going around a bend out there at the wrong time of day. some times i just lick em off getting a taste for em aye. nah it werent me in the john at little river.
