There is a bike parked up on France street in Auckland that is just screaming "I AM STOLEN!" (no plates, no WOF, no rego and wiring is a hotwired mess)
Apart from the horrible looking fairings the bike engine and frame looks good, never heard of a SXR before.
Of course I could be wrong and it could just be sitting there for some other purpose.

that's a cbr600, the Honda bits right the SRX isn't. a srx is a Kawasaki jet ski and that ain't no jet ski.

I dunno mate... most of a GSXR sticker or not, I think only Honda used those super ugly wheels? I'm thinking CBR600 is pretty on the money... a real early one?

Dunno. Zooming the picture up bit and it does look decidedly Kawasaki-ish.
It's not one of these tho http://gokartsusa.com/sxr-250-sport-motorcycle.aspx

You thinking the Comstar wheels they had on the 80's CB400s and 250s? I think they had more spokes though.

Early gsxr 400 I reckon, certainly frame & bottom fairing look like, grey import?

I think someones been playing in photoshop, that shiney exhaust looks like a cat converter.
And the reflection of white paint on the glossy fairing....

The Spada has pretty much the same wheels and they are totally not ugly!

 If that is photoshop it's pretty well done. I think it's more backyard workshop...

Google is your friend http://planetscoots.online.fr/showroom/50/honda/archives/sxr.htm, they've just modded it a bit.

Just a touch.
Guess that's one way to cut down the rego costs. Anyone got some spare nifty fifty decals?

My money is on the 80's cbr600 too. Kwak's had a three spoke similar but the dicsc on the front don't look the same.

The Spada has pretty much the same wheels and they are totally not ugly! :blink:Sure they are... they are not the ugliest wheels of that era for sure, but ugly they are.

86 87 gsxr. I'll guess 400.Find an 89 CBR600. Look at the wheels, the swingarm, the rearsets, the frame, the discs/calipers, the inset of the frame around the swingarm pivot, the torque arm. But mostly those god awful wheels... gotta be a 88-91ish Honda. GSXR400 of that era has an underslung torque arm, and the aforementioned even uglier wheels of that era.

It's a butchered cbr600 late 80s...

If the original owner wants his bike back he better hurry up as other toe rags are nicking bits off it!!
Police got told about it during the week but so far no plod has come over to look .... so why do we report bikes stolen again ? Just for statistical purposes ? :-(
