2,583 KIWI BIKERS

I noticed we have 2,583 registered K.B's. From looking at the members list, it seems that there are quite a few that hardly ever submit comments etc and some that have NEVER started a thread or submitted a comment.
Is it worth deleting these people if they haven't done a post for say, a year?
Another thing I've noticed, is that there are usually as many 'guests' as there are members. I'm guessing that these are mainly people who have done a 'Google' search for some bike related topic and linked to us.

Some who are signed in as guests could be members just checking out what is going on when at work. It is the same for most groups I belong to - heaps of members but only a fraction of them posting anything worth reading!

What might be the issue, is that people do a search, find KB by pure chance... sign up... then forget about it... (which is what I did... then found it again in another random search and tried to join up and it said "this e-mail already exists")

I don't know if this board has the options to e-mail ALL members or not... but my little ProBoards board does have that option... and all thats needed every now and then is just a little update type newsletter, to remind them that the board is still here and then they'll come back... have a nosey around and perhaps post...

Well I've not got a motorcycle yet, planning to get one in a couple of months time, so for now I'm just reading the forums, getting to grips with how you do things over here as I'm from the UK.

Hopefully when I get my bike I'll have a lot to talk about and meetings / rides to attend.

Don't get all defensive and panic. Just making a comment is all. It's nothing to do with me if anyone gets deleted. I was just surprised to see how many people were registered, but relatively few post (and some not at all!)

I joined this site roughly 4 days after spankme released it onto the unsuspecting public. Wari and I were members of an American site and he told me that he was talking to a friend about creating the site. With only a handful of members, and myself being I think the only Christchurch member, I lost interst (I know, I know) and continued posting at the other site. I came back here regulary to check and post, but it was all mostly Auckland based. Now I'm sure glad that my account didn't get deleted as this is the only site I post at.
