View Full Version : Just seen "Fathers Day" Hallenstein's advert 2/8/05

A guy and a girl ride up to the house on a m/bike.
they both get off the bike and walk inside the house past the father wearing a new "Hallenstein's polo t-shirt".

Guy dressed in jeans and a t-shirt.

Girl dressed in a short demin skirt and the little top...
As the girl gets off the bike she has to pull the skirt down.

Oh yeah they were both wearing helmets.

Good one Hallensteins, on showing how not to wear protective gear on a m/bike.

True on the protection thing, but is she hot>??

she's bloody hot..
the ad does show a destinct lack of protective gear
she is very fit
I don't get the jist of the ad
but boy, is that girl sexy..

Edit - just realised this is my 4000th post. didn't know it when I posted it, glad I made it a little pervy.. I'd just like to thank my boss, for giving me no work to do, to my friends and family since I can diss them and 'pervert' them to add to my count, and to the justice, since the term goes - to pervert the course of justice... bring it on :Punk:

Yeah, saw that retarded ad first time a few days ago, had a minor rant to Juliet about it. Would write to Hallensteins about it but they're not worth the steam off my shit, let alone the effort of putting pen to paper.

And it's probably not them so much as the retards at the advertising agency - Snatchit and Snatchit or whoever...

It worked. Three replies from guys who noticed.
It attracted their attention.

Heh, funny thing, my dad doesn't think you need any protective gear other than a helmet.

As for the ad it's probably to say "if you get your dad our sweater he'll let you get away with anything, like dating one of those dangerous bikers.":devil2:

Come and have coffee with me sometime. Lots of women in Ponce-snobby, and it's very common to see 'celebrities' hanging out at Santos (most of whom are probably tossers, of course).

Ok, they should be promoting safety, but hey - at least they are promoting motorcycling! You guys are too busy focusing on the bad, look on the brightside! My interpretation of that is that they are saying that there should be more hot chicks on bikes - and I'm all for that ;)

Yay for hot chicks on bikes! Mmmm, hot chicks . . . mmmm, bikes . . .

The initial post didn't make it clear [and we don't HAVE adverts like that in wa :dodge: ] ..........
if the GIRL was riding the bike then it is a perfectly wholesome, uplifting and acceptable advert from well-balanced and community-minded advertisers [who are probably nice to their kids and help out at church socials]

... if it was the BLOKE upfront then yeah, it's a peverted, cheap, degrading piece of crap that should be binned along with the money-hungry, scum-sucking advertisers who put it to air

:innocent:

the words wholesome and uplifting appear in the above because they are apt - NOT as in invitation to hijack this thread in a manner unbefitting!!

It's an interesting point... I love advertising for that reason (gender roles and the acceptance of them).

I recall a while back the ad for Rashuns where a car load of girls drove down the road, ripped all the clothes off some guy walking along (bar his boxers) then drove off laughing.

I'd love to see the reaction if the genders were reversed... the feminists would be up in arms about it... (and I'd quite like it)

Look its hallensteins okay, if there is a cliche out there in need of a good advert to wrap around it, their your boys. I think its something to do with distracting us from the fact that the product is (how shall i say this and not be sued.....well you know what i mean). But the girl is very pretty, and probably still in school and not about to leave any time soon. Okay this has taken a very wrong turn some where, now we're all perverts and dirty old (wo)men.

So no change there then, yeah more sex in advertising please, as if i had to ask.

Oh and back on topic.. This is the same hallensteins that not long ago had an advert on tv with a young bloke diving out of a moving car and getting fucked up, then repeating it while wearing "new halensteins long sleeve tshirt" or something and not getting hurt at all.

I actually thought about writing in and complaing about that one and i'm hardly some crusty old pensioner with nothing better to do thatn write complaint letters :woohoo:

Along with removing the "Do not drink" warnings on poisonous cleaning liquids/chemicals which clearly have poison written on them and the "Cigarette smoking is bad for you" messages on cigarette boxes.
