Atleast your not riding a Hyo GT250R, people might take you a bit seriously.
But then again you ride a Honda and this may lead others to question your sexuality.

Haha hey, question all you want, I'm perfectly sure of my sexuality. For the record, I bought it off a mate so it wasn't a hassle and I knew he took care of it. I'm quite happy with it.
cheers

You will have alot more fun on a '90s 250cc then on some of the newer shit. I started on a '90 FZR250 which only had 3000km on the clock, still miss that bike, the sound made it feel so fast when really it was dog slow

Hey welcome. Hit up one of these courses: http://www.prorider.co.nz/motorcycle-training-courses.php?course=31
I went on one yesterday, it was so, so helpful. I'm a lot more confident now and learnt more in that day than I did in my past few weeks of riding every day! Only $20 too

You could also consider coming along to either NASS (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/wiki/North_Auckland_Street_Skills) or SASS as well.

I hear most Aucklanders head to the Coro Loop to learn to ride. Westpac run a shuttle service back most weekends too.
