Dave you most likely seen this, but for anyone going on Sunday. There is a small gravel patch on the brow of hill that drops right. I didnt see a sign for it. It could catch someone out. (From memory it wasnt that far away from the Antenna)
LB should be able to narrow it down to where it was. I do know that in the same area there are a few patches of fresh seal and pea gravel. So if you start seeing fresh repairs be aware this patch is coming up.
Other than that enjoy your ride tomorrow. :ride:

Yep another great day, shame a couple of you had to bale/slept in :violin: ., you missed another good one, myself and a co worker had a ball on 22 today :woohoo: , saw a few bikes on the way down, did the nonmal fuel stop and back via Rotowaro and hetherington Rd about naike we saw a group of about 6-8 sports bikes heading south.

My mate was running out of time so he kept going, I turned round and headed south to catch up and see if there were any kbers in the bunch.

Caught up a bit later, and stopped to chat, seems they had never heard of KB, what the fuck is that about ?..

Anyway they were waiting for some tail end riders, so I continued south for a bit then meet up with another couple of non kbers, these guys were happy for a bit of fun.... :ride: :motu:

then it was time to head home and get ready for work, not a bad day at all.

for those who were worried about the metal on 22, yeah there was a bit mostly between the old Glen Murray school along the ridge heading south and seems to be gone by the time you go past "Thunder Valley Bike Park ", but not much worse than normal, all good fun.

I went up to Whangarei with Ulysses, came back on my own. Stopped at the scenic lookout just outside Wellsford and chatted with a guy on a Hayabusa who had just come up SH16 - said he counted 35 bikes on the way.

Would have come with you today, Dave, but it was the turn of SH16 (did 22 a week ago). Wouldn't want people to think there was only one road to ride...

Too right! I was up and down SH22 sat and sun - if you don't see the roadworks before you hit them you are blind or travelling waaay too fast.
