We are still a bit short on competitors for this Sundays event, and Bucket racers are welcome (as always). At least it doesn't clash with a bucket round this weekend!

My son Shaun ran a bog standard road registered FXR up there in 54 seconds, compared with Jay Lawrences record of 34 seconds, and road riders on big bikes mostly in the 40's. A good bucket should be easily capable of getting well into the 40's.

The course is pretty tight to start with, and only really opens out at the end, which is uphill too, which is where the small bikes lose the most time. Due to this hill you wont need or want to pull Taupo gearing, Mt Welly gearing is probably not too far off.
