Yea i push start it (bucket race bike) and it goes to pretty much full throttle and makes me shit a-little. I've been trying to figure it out and is the choke valve the cause? 296081296082

Check the manifold for an air leak?

Does the throttle cable sit on top of the carb? Is the cable sheath sitting on top of the cable seat lip instead of being seated fully in?

With a bit of force you could get the slide in the wrong way. The side with the sloping cut out goes to the idle screw.

 Looking at the pic properly, it looks like the idle is on the throttle linkage and not the slide. Looks like your slide is stuck up in the pics. Has the slide got a wee grove in one side?

Throttle cable routing may need checking.
Does it snap back to full close smoothly, or does it drag?....check cables and the twist grip

yes you can put the slide in backwards but it will then not drop down to the bottom of the slide, this seems to be what is happening in photo one as all I can see is the carb needle not the slide which is what I would expect to see. This will lock the slide in full open position. Where you holding the throttle fully open when you took this photo? If you where not holding the throttle open check the slide is in the right way round so that goes all the way to the bottom of the slide, or check that the throttle cable or throttle tube is not holding it open.

You need to fix that, and you need to ensure it has free play in the cable when the throttle is closed. Some people over adjust them thinking no play is ideal, but it's one of the best ways to make a bike shitty to ride.
