Hey All,

The last three weeks have been a blast on the new bike.
Each time I even think about riding, I get a small ball of nerves and excitement stir in the belly. :D
Each week I get a bit better with traffic, corners, gears and braking.
And the ride with Crashe last Sunday was invaluable - thx!

I've had the back tire replaced by the kind and professional dudes at Colemans when cracking was noticed in it on both sides. And the brake lever bent back in, after I couldn't hold it and dropped it about half a metre.

But tonight was a bit disappointing. I've finally had my first proper drop...
Going into Real Groovy 'coz I just couldn't hold out for The Stranglers best of anymore, and I was turning the bike around on a lean and cut in too tight.
So the bike fell away from me, and I did a roll away from it.
Bugger! :(
I'd broken the right front indicator shell and broken about 1cm of the steel off of the footpeg... And bent the right brake lever again.
Bit gutted. But I know stuff like this would happen. I even thought I had broken the wing mirror, but managed to fix that on the spot at least.

So, there goes a bit of pay to get a new indicator shell before next weekend and hopefully my disappointment will pass in a few hours. O_o

-----------------------------------------------
To prevent making multiple posts, I have a couple of questions...

- I can't seem to find a manual for the Zeal. Can anyone help with a link?
- What are the best tyres for the bike? Is it just preference, or does it not matter?

Thx :)

Hi mate,

PM Eric as he has a zeal... and he maybe able to help you out re the manuel.

Buggar about the wee drop... and the damage done to the bike.

You will stil be coming on the ride on the 11th won't you?

Hey thats great news about the rear tyre...
I didnt think you would have any problems getting it changed over.

Just remember to be careful on new tyres...for the first 200km.
You have to scuff the tyre in a bit.

Anytime you want to go on another ride... gizz a ring ok or PM me.

Yes, definately coming on the ride. Fixed indicator or not.
It's still working and I picked up the casing (broken), so as a day resort, I could always tape it on. Heh, that's styles.

You got any 'clear' tape...or try superglueing back together and then screw it back on... it will then do until you can get another one.

Sand off, the rough edge off the broken footpeg so it aint too rough looking...
