Epic win. Cunts in NZ seriously need to stop crying constantly about gear. Its the end users choice.

Nothing wrong with it at all.
Good thing you weren't at Rotovegas for the 12hr moonride.
There was a chick there with mini seat on front of bike and a no older than three girl sitting in it as the two of them did medium downhill sections during an event.
On a photo site a guy recently stirred up a similar storm for a fit mum taking here toddler on the Tongariro crossing in a chest harness. Same there everyone thought it was cool except original poster.
Life is for living. You know nek minnit that kid is going to be on Americas greatest police chases lol....

I never actually said I disapproved.
I am not keen on no gear especially not for someone not old enough to decide.

I do however think that is a very cool parent child moment. In a more trafficked area I might not hold that opinion.

I am more concerned about the ship captain that will have 200+ childrens souls haunting him.

when i was 9, my old man put on on the back of a GSX750, and we went from whakatane up to the old Baypark speedway to help a guy with a midget car, on the way out, the old man took me around the race track, and we got to 100mph down the back straight, he got in a bit of shit when i excitedly told mum later on,

Its not the bike that gets more pussy, its the rider ;)

I don't know. I bet some of the bikes here have had more pussy than anyone can think of.

But then again they also get their share of balls too.

I thought it was all OK, until the rider took his hands off the bar and left it all to the 6 year old. I must confess to giving my kids rides on the tank when they were very young.

my thoughts exactly, no problem with chucking the kid on the tank and taking him for a spin but taking ya hands off the handlebars is a bit dodgy

If she is riding commando, then fair enough - we can say the bike is getting some....

That's fucking revolting.

Poor kid riding a tractor. He'll be buggered for years now, running around making potato noises.

But, cool. I think it's cool.

Cool, that kid is now going to be a motorcyclists for life and the fact that no one got hurt.:2thumbsup

Uncool that someone else will probably try and mimic it now and make a hash of it and someone will get hurt! :Pokey:

I’ve got a 6 year old...now I’ve just got to find a Harley. I can get my 3 year old to scribble on my arms for tats. Sorted. I can be just as cool as that guy.

Funny you mention that - this topic (not the one you quoted) came up while we were doing the crossing a few weeks ago where we saw a similar thing.
The issue is the risk of hypothermia to the child if they're not bailed up properly. Particularly considering a young child's natural inability to control their temperature, and the factor of not creating heat by moving. They're just sitting there. The exposed hands of the kid we saw were blue and it wasn't even a particularly cold crossing.
Taking kids out in nature i'm all for, in principle though. Shit if I get around to having kids i'm not stopping my life for them. I'll pack them in a pannier if I have to, but i'll use something soft...

When I was 6 Dad used to let me have control of the Honda XL125 all the time... No helmet even.... (Yeah, shock horror!!!).
I figure it would go about as fast as that Harley, so really I can't se too much wrong with it ;)

Did a similar thing when the step son was 10 on my GSX600..... Was the most exciting 30 seconds of my life as he lit it up across the lawn!
