A quick note from our Scholarship Coordinator:

Note for all new, returning or junior riders. Round One.

A few changes have been made for this years Bridgestone Winter Series.

1. The scrutineering shed is reserved for new & junior riders.
This has been done to enable us to focus on the development of riders via the clubs scholarship and mentoring programs (sessions are extended to new and returning riders).

2. Throughout the season we hope to offer short sessions/discussions from MNZ reps, Experienced riders and industry specialists. The aim here is to provide an environment for you to a. Learn b. Ask questions. c. Make connections.

3. Club expectation that you know the rules we are racing under (MNZ rules). To ensure that this is clear, after rider briefing on Saturday there will be an extra briefing for all new, returning and junior riders. Again please be prepared (ensure you are ready to go).

...and let's make this a great start to the 2014 season.

why have we got

old commisioners

Potentuall new one

and basically all complaining about how things do not get done, it is already May and still NO RACE dates for the next NZ CHAMPIOSHIPS for people to plan around.

and someone from MNZ reading these threads, and yet NOTHING changes, what the fuck does the so called Board and MNZ do anyway.

All this shit brings the sport into disrepute, I suggest some read the intentions of what MNZ is about and supposed to be doing

You're right. But you get what you pay for and the board and commissioners are not paid.
Things are moving but need a shake up to get it moving.
At least one board applicant has shown he will shake things up. :)
Now it's time for the members to have their say.

I was not complaing about the commisioners mate, they have all done great work. The board is clearly the problem, and YES it will be fantastic having Glen in there with his passion and business history

Anyone truly involved in their own Club will understand that any decision-making involving more than a couple of people is an "interesting exercise". MNZ is no different

A LOT of the people on here dolphin-polishing about MNZ this and MNZ that have little or no ability to comment, as they are not members. And, of those that ARE, seems 5/8ths of far-call give enough of a shit to actually vote. No vote, no opinion as far as I'M concerned

The only people in "MNZ" who are "on the payroll" are the hard-working ladies in the Office, and they, like most of us in our own jobs, get to carry the can for others non-performance. EVERYONE ELSE IS A VOLUNTEER, and the vast majority work fulltime as well - even those who are "retired" still fill their days with other stuff, and the MNZ nightmare most of the night, most nights of the week

And that is why I have said for years now that a special forum needs setting up where only MNZ licence holders can sign ( Using there Licence Number) into to make comments etc, it would be so simple to manage.

There are far far to many negative comments re racing and MNZ etc, and that is not healthy for future riders nor fans

I sure aint no technoguru, but as I understand it that is already possible. The need for something standalone and "special" is part of the problem for some

You're both welcome to join me in the naughty corner, one of the two remits i proposed seems to have gone through.

Actually Greg,Both of yours were put through by the commissioner,The office contacted me at a later date and informed me that the NZPCRA had a rulechange proposed that covered the same issue you had brought up(Rear brake) only theirs apparently went further and so it was decided that there was no need for both to be displayed on the website,After talking with Dave a later date I was informed that I had been misinformed,My mistake in not checking the rulechanges myself to ensure the information I was given was correct,A good example of the need for a commissioner to be in complete control of the position,The old adage "If you want something done properly,Do it yourself" springs to mind.

I will see what,If anything I can do to rectify the situation. My most humblest apologies.

No vote, no opinion as far as I'M concerned

Not voting by deliberate decision is actually a totally valid option in a democracy.
Not voting through apathy is a dangerous pathway towards authoritarianism.

How can you vote if you actually don't mind, or rather, like both/all candidates?
How can you vote if there is only one candidate?

Anyway, as you were.

Ok page was about the Bridgestone winter series that starts this weekend.

The rest has been a MNZ cry session and English class.

FFS, tomorrow the bullshit stops in the lower north island.
Manfield will be humming with lots of keen beans chasing the winter series' titles.

Weather is looking good, get off your asses and come and support.

And don't forget to bring your pocket money and grab a raffle ticket to support the VMCC junior scholarship programme.:innocent::innocent:
