Decent hairdryer should do it?
I'd come give you a hand, but it's raining and cold. Dunno how much help I'd be anyway, last time I wired in an amp I blew a massive fuse, burnt through the rubber coating on the cable and had a boot full of smoke.

Hahahaha talent. I've installed 3 amps/subs. Only dramas I've had was I fucked up an earth so had to sand down the metal and bolt it down harder.

I just used insulation tape and it was fine. Hardest part is trying to get the wires through the firewall and into the boot.

Got a small butane blowtorch, best thing out to nicely char and blacken the outside of the heatshrink, much better than any heatgun.
