I'll have a go:
Deposited pay cheque into bank, left card behind. Collected dry cleaning (took a while: dy clnen), but no eftpos card. Very little money left in pocket because of the deposit. Ended up spending the remainder in the pub celebrating another win. <- somebody was then disappointed at being told early.
1337 is much easier to read... drunks are not only incoherent, but shocking at typing too...

I knew txt spk had gone too far the day I saw at work, a young fella's application for a job with 3 txt spk abbreviations in it. His application didn't get any further incidentally.

I fully agree.
We have a vacancy at work right now, and I can assure all that if any applications are not written in correct english, then the applicant will not be successful.

I don't agree with this.
On my phone, it takes about 30 seconds to write out an entire text, grammar, spelling and punctuation all good. Seriously, there's no exuse. It's plain laziness and fagortry.

yeh, txt speak sucks. i find it hard to use even when txting! LOL. usually only leave out letters that are on the same key [ie, ketle instead of kettle] cos im too impatient to wait to add the extra "T". use it as little as possible, and never in names. make them a template and just add them that way, seems faster.

switched that off ages ago. spent more time deleting letters i didnt need [txting a friend called heather, it would keep adding an "S" at the end.] easier this way.
