Hi!
Last weekend I got my helmet stolen, and I found it for sale on trademe. I'm 99% sure it's mine due to some details and when it was published, but eventually I need to prove to police that it is.
I don't have detailed pictures of the helmet myself, but here are some pictures of the auction.

PLEASE if you see the auction, DO NOT BID or ask anything or ad too many visits to it, it's under investigation

I'm almost sure the brand was HJC, but the labels inside were in german.

I got it from a friend that told me he bought it at Scootling.

Anyone knows? please reply to avier3d@gmail.com if possible.

Thank you!

How does finding out what brand it is prove its your helmet?

Looks like HJC visor mech, but I also don't understand how knowing the brand helps your case.

So some cunt stole your helmet, you've seen one very similar on the interwebs for sale that you suspect is yours & you're trying to get it back? Fuck that shit, it'll be full of kooties by now. Time for a new lid.

He never mentioned he was trying to get it back, just that the police were involved

I'm 'almost sure' my bike is an Aprilia, can someone help me?

Surely you can just say "I don't know the brand because the label is in German" and if the cops check out the helmet and the label is in German you have proved your point.

Tippersv - As we know... if you have had to change the reg/rec, stator, or solenoid - it's probably an Aprilia :msn-wink:

The OP bought it second hand? It's time for a new hat anyway.

Other HJC owners might be able to comment as to German labels in HJC hats, but that'd start me thinking Shubertin.

If you have to read the owners manual at least twice just to change the oil, its an Aprilia!

Change the oil? Nah... that's easy. Check the level of the oil? Now that needs 3 or more reads of the manual, some head scratching and an 'ah-fuk-it it's close enough' mindset

Quite a distinctive pattern. One of the online image matching tools might find the same helmet on a page that tells you what make and model it is. Some links: TinEye (http://www.tineye.com/), Gazopa (http://www.gazopa.com/) or Idee (http://labs.ideeinc.com/upload).

I haven't used them myself but the the idea seems sound.

Hey,

That's an Integrale helmet.

Used to sell them as a budget helmet at the shop.

I laughed, but then realised I'm still well dark at the cunt who stole my $60 gloves that had been worn exactly once...

...jokes kinda on him though, the one time I wore em was when playing 'the stranger'
