Did you guys know Sommet Sports is on Sky channel 69? The point being you can now record MotoGP on your MySky.

More relevant is the fact it's suddenly appeared on satellite freeview - channel 14 - after only being available on terrestial freeview...

i'm now a much happier man.

I could get it on Freeview but had no means of recording it after I ditched my DVD recorder in favour of MySky. Happy happy long time!

Satellite Sky Channel 69. Magic. Don't have to run the PC through the telly any more. Bet it only lasts one season though.

I know! Sorry!

I only found it by channel surfing in a bored fashion to see if anything was different. I reckon Sky looked at the Sommet register and went, "No crossover, this is all stuff we've dropped before". It's brilliant to have access to proper football again too.

All of last season's racing was on there. Jolly good it was too!

On Sky Satellite, you big silly. I have no doubt of Sommet's intention to keep MotoGP.

*Guilty as charged*

Yes. A workmate has been quite unhappy with Sky and their "ability" to broadcast racing. He's not a happy camper.

Go Sommet!

Ummm, been on there for 3 weeks now...
I'm pretty sure Sommet has the rights to MotoGP for a few years now....
Not totally sure how the deal works with Sky, but I think Sky actually have little say on what the independent network shows. So long as there are no broadcasting complaints then who cares? After all Sommet pay for something Sky didn't see a market for.

SKY are pretty arbitrary about what they offer and prone to changing things without informing customers. Sommet was added to satellite services, both Freeview and Pay, with no fanfare, so I'd suggest outside influence to get them added. We only have Sky because terestrial reception is appalling where we are and the house has a satellite dish.

I remember when Soho was introduced it was free.... hope that Sommet doesn't get wrapped up with the exorbitantly-priced sports package.

I don't think Sky can do that. Sommet isn't part of their empire.

Loving some of the snowboarding, skateboarding and mountain biking too. Some great stuff on this channel.:niceone:

I live in a motel now. It has Sky. Sky sucks. Especially the basic package (no "pemium" channels for plebs staying in the units). And it is very expensive too.

I have been spoiled by years of torrents and DVD's.

I do like Sommet sports though. I have found a new interest in snooker. It is very meditative watching snooker on the telly.
