Hearty congratulations on your 24th wedding anniversary today - hope that you had a great dinner last night and a fantastic ride round the rest of Coromandel today.
One of the great things about KiwiBiker is swapping banter with people for a couple of years or so and finally getting to meet them. The bonus of course is that Ian and Karen are top people too. Great to meet you both for the first time and see you at the "boys weekend" next month Ian!
Too many slow 4x4's blocking the Thames highway when I came home but still had a quickish ride in the company of a Suzuki GS 1200ss which turned off towards the Kopu bridge. The rest of the run home was quite quick but still only managed to put 20 minutes on Jennie in the car.

Wow, 24 years, that's an achievement by anyone's standards, well done!
You beat us by 23 and a half years - we celebrate our six month anniversary on Monday - and I will even be wearing my wedding dress again in honour of the occasion! I was daft enough to agree to take part in the bride of the year show in PN tomorrow night - got off to a bad start when one of the organisers assumed I was the mother of one of the brides... she'll keep! :2guns:
Mind you, even if I don't win anything on the night, I get to take home the best prize - my husband!

Jennie and I celebrated 33 years of marraige in July. She's an incredibly tolerant woman and I haven't got too many scars from kitchen utensils being bounced off my head either

Thank-you very much, everyone, and especially Blackbird, who was incredibly hospitable, and let us pick a bottle of wine from his cellar. Actually, the vifferbabe is terrible with numbers (a bit worrying for an accountant...) and it's only 23 years, not 24. However, we've actually been together since March 1978, so it's still a goodly long (and most enjoyable) partnership.
The vifferbabe is terrific - her idea for celebrating our anniversary was to buy New Zealand Motorcycle Atlas by Peter Mitchell, and to do an overnight ride. Peter gives the ride from Howick to Waitakaruru 4 smilies, and the Coromandel loop 5, and he's dead right! The best riding weekend I've ever had! Absolute magic, and because the vifferbabe really enjoyed herself too, it was obviously the right choice. :2thumbsup
