Good point, looks like it! At all the previous J days I've attended, there has always been a police presence, yet the cops just stand there looking really bored because everyone is just so chilled out that no one starts scraps or vandalizes property, so the cops have no work to do. Contrast that to the legal drug, alcohol, and the obvious harm it causes by watching the behaviour of the drunk idiots on the weekends outside the pubs.

Actually, sad to say, based on their past actions in this country, they are probably busy photographing and identifying all those attending.

I have to improve my stalking skills to get nice and close. The gun has no provisions for chokes, since it's a skeet gun. I have had a bit of luck though with duck hunting in previous seasons with it, maybe I should increase the shot size to BB or something.

Although in saying that the chicks were more of a handful as I think he was concentrating pretty hard on not letting his dread mountain throw him off balance. I thought bigger shot tightened up the pattern. Looks like I'll try lead #4 since I won't be too close to water, and hopefully that will give me better luck.

Bigger shot = less amount of pellets in each cartridge, ergo more distance between each pellet once you launch them at a duck.
BUT smaller shot = less kinetic energy as the range gets further despite the pattern being denser.
