Looking at tank grip pads. Either Stomp or Techspec, maybe other brands? For everyday use and track days.
Anything better than the other?

I've tried decktred as I was too tight to spring for stompgrip. Just wore out the leathers? :weep:

have used stompgrips on various bikes, no experience with other brands though, as Ive always been more than happy with the stompgrips
I got given a set of cheapo plastic ones.
I barely noticed a difference.
I've heard stompgrip is the best though.

Some in the US swear by this, http://techspec-usa.com/magento/
But not use either. But so far Stomp is winning.
Stompgrip works well but i found it to be very aggressive on the leather. Currently using techspec which i am happy with.

Yep same here.
Used stomp and it wore the leather out, tecspec seems stickier and doesn't wreck the leathers.

I had techspec on my zx10. I choose that purely because I thought it looked better than the stompgrip. Ive got stompgrip on my R6 and cant feel any difference at all. What does make a huge difference is if your leathers have rubber grip pads on the inside of the knees. That plus either grip pads on the tank is very stable.

That convinced me. Just ordered Tecspec ones.

And the other good thing is you can peel tecspec off and use it on another bike.

I have TechSpec http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/album.php?albumid=3878&attachmentid=264717
Haven't used Stompgrip but have seen it on other peoples bikes and it looks and feels more aggressive than TechSpec . For racing Stompgrip would probably be better, but on the road it's probably a bit too much.
TechSpec can be removed and re-applied a few times if necessary, I don't know if that works for Stompgrip.

And they are very easy to fit. Work great. Very happy with the Tecspec pads.
