I have a customer looking for a PHP+AJAX development company located in Auckland (ideally South Auckland). Note you must be a company with 2 or more developers, not an individual contractor. It is for a new project, and the customer is primary interested in application development to encompass core business logic rather than a graphic design house (functionality more important than looks).
Please let me know of anyone you would care to recommend highly, or if your company meets the criteria - itself.

MYSQL, I like the MVC model, so I think it would be considered (MVC in PHP that is). AJAX has been mentioned because they want a lot of dynamic forms where fields update as you type and search.
There is some potential that the site might be integrated into a Wordpress site down the track, so PHP has been chosen for the development language.

Get a decent development manager and get her/him to organise outsourced resources. It works with good management and keeps costs down. All they should need to do is the customer facing and design work, tender the job, and manage the quality and deployments - another words do everything but the code, unless they need to step in.

Depending on the size of the information required to be loaded into the forms, they could load the info into the page and do it all client side. Meh... never got into php, but lerve the js MVVM pattern for doing fings nice n quick like.
