If it is go straight to the techspec website.

Never had a problem with ordering from them.

Yea I bought a leather jacket off them just before Xmas, they were great 15 days to arrive over that period so not too bad. Great quality jacket ( roland sands). I would use them again in a heartbeat if I wanted something. Only issue is I think they may have a minimum spend amount before sending to New Zealand. Oh postage was not bad either, $35 I think.

Hope this helps

Yep really good site and great service, although if you are buying small items shipping cost may wipe out any savings you make.
they do good video reviews too and seem to have a massive user review system for products.

Yes. Some glitch with the Revzilla site and sending to NZ. They fixed it but to late as I had ordered it from Techspec.

They sent me the track and it looks like its at LAX already waiting to fly over. Bloody quick.

The video reviews are very good. They know much more about the product than NZ retailers.

Just had a read of the shipping policies. Spend $300 or more and they say free shipping. Priced up stomp grip, $45 but want US$30 for shipping.

You would only want to get stuff you cant here. Stomp is about $85 here. I only got the Techspec as its not sold here.

Not always the cheapest, but great service, and one of the fastest shipments I've ever had from around the world. Took about 4-5 days to my door (only ordered once from them)

This.

Ordered twice from them. Both times using YouShop.

Once for Scorpion gloves not available in NZ. Thoroughly happy.

Once for a Forcefield back protector. Happy, although YouShop tried to charge me for 'repacking' when they didn't touch the box. Made a fuss (showing pics of uncut tape etc) and they sorted it in the end. I ended up saving a small amount over what it'd cost in NZ

As said they're not the cheapest but they are totally reliable, friendly, and funny. Video reviews of the gear are good to.

.

Funny that they try to charge extra when that was their original mantra to remove excess external packaging to lower cost. I'm finding youshop prices are not much lower than what some of the better US outlets charge to freight it direct also.

Yeah and it's a bit of a gamble, you can only guesstimate measurements so never know exactly what Youshop will cost before you it gets to their depot.

So far I've had no problems with Shipito over the 15 packages sent to me.
They offer a lot of options, you can have some packages consolidated and then you can choose the shipping method and ask them to send it.
There are slow shipping options (20-40 days) and fast shipping options (2-4 days) at various prices.

From overseas I've bought camping gear, motorcycle gear, electronics, leather protectant, Swiss Army Knives, cell phone accessories, DVDs, books, clothing, etc.
Amazon will send books, CDs & DVDs to NZ but not other stuff. But they will take a NZ credit card and send pretty much anything to my Shipito address.
I've bought from Ebay and had the items sent to my Shipito address.
I've bought stuff that had stupid shipping prices to NZ and got them to send the stuff to my Shipito address.
I've had 1 package simply sent as is.
I've consolidated 6 packages into 1 box twice.

I'm always buying stuff from overseas, sometimes because I can't get it here and sometimes because I'm just not paying the local ripoff prices.

I got two helmets not available in NZ from them. Excellent service.
Tried to get a Revit jacket but they were unable to ship that to NZ due to restrictions Revit put on them. They would ship to a forwarder though and even suggested two that I could use.

Would have no hesitation in recommending them.

I got a Shark helmet on close out for $265USD which sells for $650ish here. Freight was about $50 and was here within 10 days.
I was happy. Guys were good and the have good reviews on items they sell. I would prefer to support local but at closeout prices...

Well my gloves arrived, the Revzilla side of the deal was good, quick and plenty of email info/updates etc. Might have a bitch about youshop in the other thread but pretty happy with leather heated gloves at the price other USA outlets were selling the textiles for so good deal. Highly recommend.

Well tried to order a set of STOMP GRIP tank pads for my GSXR750 K6. From revzilla it would of been a dollar cheaper. So i used a store in NZ who supplied STOMP grip. (keep it local). The wed site said in stock, sweet put my order in.

Next day, sorry out of stock but you can try put a later model on you bike!! (FORK THAT!!! Refund Please)

Went straight to revzilla. There website showed home many they had left in stock (3 in stock NICE). Ordered at around 11am and after finishing work the next morning had to emails from them. Your order has been processed and the next email which was about 3 hours after that your order has been shipped!

Awesome.

Roy, let me guess, the local shop was Cycletreads?

Our local suppliers love to bleat on about how unfair the situation is for them, but they never want to put the work in to retain our custom. The fact of the matter is that if they're going to gouge us on price, local suppliers at least need to be able to back it up with great customer service. My experience with Cycletreads online has been hopeless.

A big fat Negative on that mate. If it's not on CT shelf then I go with the saying they don't have it. I tried another local supplier but I am not name dropping.

I usually try to find stuff locally, easier & less risk buying from a local store. I especially like to buy stuff that has to fit properly from a physical store near me - I spent $1200 on a new helmet a couple of months ago, got the local store here in Morrinsville to get it in for me and it cost close enough to what I could get one from overseas for. I also bought some gloves from the same place that I bought my bike from, I was surprised by the size that fit me since I have normal sized hands but the XL gloves were way too tight.

But then I want something like an oil funnel with a screw on cap so it doesn't drip oil after I finish. I go to Repco, no luck there. I go to Supercheap Auto, no luck there either. On USA based forums they say that they can walk into any store and buy one, damned if I can find one in this country! I managed to buy what I wanted for a few bucks from Amazon, but at least I gave the local stores a chance to make the sale.

I'd say that often local stores can supply what you want at a fair price, it is worth giving them the chance to do it.
But if you just can't find what you are wanting or the price is ridiculous then what can you do?
So yeah, I've spent plenty of money locally, but I'm pretty fussy and I often have to buy from overseas to get what I want.
You just need to find who has what you want at a reasonable price - often it is Revzilla, Amazon, Partshark, etc.

what is this sorcery!!!!!!

LOL sounds like his garage is an operating theatre of cleanliness...
I pour oil from measuring jug through funnel, once I've got to the final level I leave it to drip into engine where it is and start putting away other tools etc or let it drip back into oil container.

I bought something like this:
http://www.thefairchilds.org/bikes/262.jpg

This is the page I found on changing the oil on my bike: http://www.thefairchilds.org/bikes/st-oilchange.html
I also cannot find an oil drain pan like the one they show, our choices seem so limited here!

I always find that there is another drop or 2 even after leaving it for an hour. This is a good thing, it means that the sides of my pistons probably are not completely dry when I start my bike in the morning.

I paid NZ$17 shipping for Techspec tank pads with NZ Post's Youshop service. That purchase was from Techspec directly but I've also used Revzilla for other stuff and found them good to deal with.
