I wanted a bike when I was about your age but my mother said they were too dangerous and I wasn't allowed one. It took me more than 20 years before I got a bike of my own - I hope you get one a long time before that! I suppose it helps in your case that you have at least one parent who is into bikes - so good luck with the pestering!

Ha! That's true! So your the one who had the snapped acceleration disc? Ah, good story, I'll leave it to dad though. Anyway it's good to be on the forums, my father is the motor-cycle addict. And my Mother is the paranoid parent who thinks always of what can go wrong. But all will hopefully turn out great. Now the first thing I need help with is the road-code. Anyone got the link?

Here (http://www.ltsa.govt.nz/roadcode/) is the raod code site BUT it does not have the sepcial motorcycle questions
This (http://www.legislation.govt.nz/libraries/contents/om_isapi.dll?clientID=16068025&infobase=pal_regs.nfo&jump=r1999-100%2fsch.5&softpage=DOC#JUMPDEST_r1999-100/sch.5)
has the motorcycle questions which are not on the LTSA site. Go to Scheduke 5

Hi Reubix - welcome to the KB gargre. Nice to meet you (and your Dad) on Saturday. Did you like the Paekak Hill road?
Good luck with the bike purchase. Life is short, you have to do what puts a smile on your face.

Well, it was only in the Jaguar, but still fun! Can't wait until I can do it on my own. It was an awesome road, Dad told me that it was a popular place for riders. HE WAS RIGHT! Thanks for the link to the road-code. I'll start revising!

Thankyou very much for the warm welcome. Hope to see some of you guys on the road at some point! Shouldn't we have little stickers to put on our bikes or something? Easier to recognize one another!
