Since you put it that way (which is true) maybe it not so funny.

About as funny as noticing people txting while they driving. Is life so short that you absolutely must txt while driving?

pull up beside them on your motorbike and shout at them that you will chop their hand off with an axe for texting.

If the window is open grab the phone and throw it as hard as you can away from you.

Bike vs Car usually means person on bike loses. I dont get angry - I get worried.

i drive over the centreline all the time. road markings, signs, lights, police: all polite suggestions.
if they didn't want me driving on it, they wouldn't have put road there.

If people drive on the wrong side of the road without good reason, like on blind corners, then they should be treated exactly the same as if someone takes a shotgun out and takes pot shots at pedestrians while driving.

What I don't get is if someone does something extremely reckless with a gun, then the police and courts make a huge deal of it, but if you do the same with a car it's just a minor offence. Hypocrisy much? That's what I really don't get with the "justice" system here.

Chinese tourists think the roads will be big and wide like they are in a lot of China but they are often narrower and very winding, especially in some of New Zealand's more remote locations," Li Xin said.
Fuck off - I've seen some of the roads in China - they're just as bad as the "narrower, very winding" roads complained about - only with more traffic!. Obviously, they never leave the city in China, then drive in the country here - perhaps they should drive in the country, in their own country first!

Perhaps a simple multi-choice scratchy (given by the rental company) could be use after being given the pamphlet but before they get the keys to confirm they have understood what they have read.

A quick Google of roadmarkings in India will show you that a solid yellow or solid white line in the middle of the road means the same over there as it does here. He knew, he just decided that as he was still in the third world he would drive the same as he would back home.

And he's from a culture that a lot will lie (extremely badly for the most) to get out of anything they see as trouble from what I've been told.
