Hi guys, my name is Jeroen (good luck with that) and I`m currently working on getting an internship in Auckland (october/april) and afterwards take one or two months to explore both the north and south island and do stuff for which I need to bring lots of fresh underwear.

I've been driving myself for 9 1/2 years (since my 18th birthday), and my first serious trip with my dad in a sidecar is allready 23 years ago. So I grew up with bikes and still can't get enough of them. Do all maintanence myself and 'sadly' sold my Aprilia Tuono 1000 '07 2 months ago to finance my NZ trip.

If all goes well I`ll be coming over somewhere half of september and aside from a room to stay for a couple of months... my first priority would be (for health and mental reasons) to get myself a nice little motorcycle (I get cranky when I can't drive). And I assume that my own bike won't be allowed as carry on luggage.

In search of website that offer motorcycles I came across this forum and and subsequent bike trader option. Next to trademe I haven't found a serious site to search for bikes (budget would be $3000,- (I prefer to go lower). Since most of you actually live in NZ... what are good sites to go on and hunt for second hand motorcycles? And if possible find a room?

My bike experience so far:
learning: Honda CB250, Honda CB500
Previous bikes: Moto Guzzi V35 III '92, BMW R1200RT '05, Aprilia Tuono 1000 '07
Current bikes: Moto Guzzi Sport 1100 '95, Moto Guzzi V50 Nato '84 (my little rustbucket which I've been using for the last 5 years as my main bike)
My dad's bikes: Moto Guzzi California 3 with sidecar, Norton Commando 850MK3, Yamaha XV750

Gidday and welcome. Just be aware that we ride motorcycles over here, not drive them. Thats something car and harley owners do. :niceone:

Okies.. you are coming in mid sept..
Starting your internship < are you a doctor? we could do with a few of these here> in Oct. till april.
Then off to do some touring.
What do you need to bring...
Underwear.. we sell that here
Of corse a camera.
Really most of the stuff can be bought here
Perhaps your riding gear.
What sort of bike are you after?
If you are in Auckland through the summer,, there are some good rides not to far away
Would recommend a mid sized ADV bike
Good in traffic, and you can scoot away and explore some of the country.
Iam sure someone will be along soon, and post up some good deals.
Cheers.

PS... How about bringing a couple of Dutch chikas,, with big boobies...

The day my dad sells the Norton is the day I`ll have to kick him in his nuts for being nuts. To much fun to ride that thing.

Thanks for the warm welcome on these forums :p.
