In preparation for getting a bike - which will happen! - I bought a pair of secondhand boots which were offered to me at what I thought was a very reasonable price. Sadly, and while I thought they would fit, they are just too small to be comfortable. I've learnt a bit about the vagaries of shoe sizing in the last few weeks.

Cycletreads (http://www.cycletreads.co.nz/products/1303-gaerne_road_and_sport_boots/4436-gaerne_grw_aquatech_roadsport_.aspx) sell these new for $350 - $400. They're a little cheaper from Bikebiz in Oz (around NZ $325), but that doesn't include shipping, etc.

I'm not looking to make anything on these - hence the low price. Someone tried to help me - I'm passing it on.

They have been used and have a couple of scuffs, but no damage, and they don't smell. :) I'd rate them as 'good' condition, but I'm harsh on that - I've seen boots on TradeMe advertised as 'very good' which are in much poorer condition than these.

I'll sort some pics if anyone is keen. I appreciate I'm pretty new here so folk won't know whether to trust my description, or not.

Collection from Te Kauwhata or Hamilton, or I'll sort postage at cost. I'm sure I have a box somewhere they can go in.

Pics attached. The boots are black... They look a little grey in one of the pics but aren't.

I have larger pics I can email if you'd liek to see them - PM if that's the case.

You can see the scuffing on the toes. There are a couple of marks elsewhere, but that really is all it is - marks.

Found a box. It was once a 'NZ Post International Economy Courier 10kg Box', but the boots fit nicely and I can fold the top tighter to make a 45 x 31 x 18cm package, all-up weight around 3kg (according to the kitchen scales).

Tracked postage to P-town (assuming I've got everything right) according to the NZ Post website is $8.50, courier $14.70, and courier & signature is $20.70.

I have had a pair of these for six years - they are 100% waterproof, when riding for hours in heavy rain my feet were the only part of me to be bone dry. They are also comfortable and seem to last extremely well. Even the toe sliders take a lot of work to wear down.

Anyone who buys these will have very happy feet:)

Devy - these sold last night... About 12 hours before you posted.
However, please PM details of the boots you have (or just list them for sale!) - I may be interested.

Thanks.
